What people are getting confused, including Andrew, is that Kendrick was criticizing the two guys that Andrew had on his show not necessarily Andrew. He made the joke in front of those guys and they didn’t say anything about it until they got some backlash. I’m pretty sure that’s what Kendrick was talking about.
@BranAndsimple7 күн бұрын
Na. He said don’t let no White Comedian talk about black women. Lol everyone on the podcast was trash.
@jwdathefax3777 күн бұрын
@ That’s exactly what I said.😒 “Don’t LET no white comedian…” The word “LET” tells you who he was talking to. Obviously it was still a second hand criticism to Andrew but he wasn’t actually telling Andrew what he could or couldn’t say. He just put in rap form the same criticism that those guys received online during that time.

Love dating topics from a man who isn't nasty or toxic towards women. It gives insight on what's out there. I have a love/hate relationship with being a healing place and support for people. I attract men who need a push to get their lives together (mentally, emotionally and/or financially), so I understand a man wanting to have his shit together before dating. I think I'm the push that makes them want to be better, and they do change. They just end up with someone else.

While i agree that comedy should allow anyone and everyone to have a light shone in them, my issue is often comedians use their job as defence on saying some really horrible things. I could word for word say what Andrew did(tone, timing etc) within my corporate job and be facing a disciplinary. Being a comedian doesnt automatically mean you can say whatever you like

Regarding your question about KZbin numbers and engagement, I think video chapters are one of the biggest things you’re missing as a consumer. I know you say you don’t like doing it, but most channels I watch have chapters where I can jump around as needed, especially when I’m short on time. That’s number one. Number two, having a cohost occasionally would be nice. Many of the shows I watch have at least two people, even you and Kev. If it’s just one person, they’re most likely telling stories or reviewing a product. You can’t really have a conversation by yourself. I know you have Patreon supporters, but most of us watch the video afterward. So, we miss out on that conversational piece. It’s like we are watching a conversation that has already passed. So there’s a lack of connection.

I agree with equal opportunity comedy. It seemed like instead of simply saying "this bothered people but it's my comedic style" he instead took it as a way to share his inner thoughts of the community and landed on another level of "well they treat there women blah blah blah". He sowed and now he got to eat it.

I may have said this on your IG too but I was listening to Brilliant Idiot since the pandemic started. What that podcast taught me is that who you surround yourself does matter. Cause if you look at how Charlemagne’s history he shouldn’t be someone you confide in on a public platform if I’m being honest. He tokes the fire for personal gain even if they’re friends or associates. Put next to a white man who is constantly testing the boundaries of his jokes, and you have a recipe where he will likely betray their working friendship. He already has, to me. There’s still personal responsibility on Shultz but I will not be surprised if he takes a step back and puts blame on the black people around him for enabling him.

I don’t consider what Andrew does. Never have. Making your bigotry and hatred behind a “joke” is not comedy to me at least. It’s zero creativity or talent. You can “pushed the envelope” or “be edgy” touchy on dark topics but being funny is actually putting some type of creative spin on it. To me at least. Andrew does none of that. He just says ignorant bs then just “It’s just a joke, anybody can get these jokes” lol shut up.

It sounds like you're looking for overall direction or format for this pod..after you determine what you want to - do you want to be the content or do you want to create the content? then look at your analytics.What does your analytics say? Who's your core audience - make sure you address their topics...i think you could probably use the suggested topics but group them together and stretch them out to maybe do a series Dating in LA/Struggling as a Comedian/Cat Chronicles...you can use the series to target your core audience and try to draw in new audience with some tangential topic...you have a good voice so listening to you is easy...my guess is your core audience is women 25-34 and 35-44 😂 Am I right?

Here's the thing about Schultz - he's an agent of chaos...he and everyone caping for him is hiding behind the context of "he's a comedian", except he wasn't doing comedy or a comedic bit he was hosting his podcast...those British boys came on that podcast and Andrew's saw the opportunity (which the Brits naively gave to him) to start controversy...i don't watch his podcast so I don't know if he does that with all his guests...if he does then so be it...but if not then he comes off as racist or at best a hater preying on unsuspecting guests to get views...so 1) it wasn't funny and 2) the podcast content wasn't any good either.
