You are one helluva handy guy. I'll just bet you can lift heavy stuff too. Thanks for all of the great videos, Tony.

Funny you should say that. One of the reasons I haven't been hunting as much lately is my wife has me doing some landscaping which requires the building of a concrete block retaining wall. Good gawd almighty those guys get heavy!!!

I think there's some confusion Arty. I do own an Excalibur II. It's all I ever use on the beach. It's modified like crazy but an Excal nonetheless:)
@ArtyNZTreasureSeaker8 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony, I have confused you sorry. I was meaning that since I don't own an Excalibur yet. I hope to at some stage so I enjoy watching your vids on improving them. 👍 😊 sorry I should have worded my comment better 😊

Yep, I was definitely confused, not surprising, happens to me more and more frequently nowadays:) By all means though, get an Excal if ya can, I highly recommend it..

Cool. Excalibur guts! Minelab people are going nuts over this video? I missed part ... when you dissconnect pots from mainboard. Mainboard is out in part1. Great job on that epoxy Tony. Now I know how it is connecting and holding cables. I have never seen excal before ....live.
@TonyEisenhower8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching bud. I don't disconnect the pots from the MB. The stay on through the whole evolution.. Maybe I'm not understanding you??
@sdesic8 жыл бұрын
I didn't know they used that kind of potentiometers... like trim pots with separated shafts... knobs. Did you change seals on those knobs?
@TonyEisenhower8 жыл бұрын
Not on Eds machine but I included a set of o-rings when I returned his machine and told him he prolly should do it.

An battery level LED would be cool. Is that a bell or a whistle? :)

That would be cool!! I think there is a device that would work.. I'll look into it:)

Yep. I've seen a programmable one that will change color based on voltage level.

Tony, looking for an Excalibur II control housing, a good friend has a crack in the main control tube of his Excalibur. We haven't checked with Minelab yet, was hoping to pick up some surplus part for the repair? Thank John
@TonyEisenhower8 жыл бұрын
Damn, wish I could help you John but I don't have any parts. I don't think Minelab charges that much for a new tube. Sorry about that buddy😕

Howdy, Lord of the Rings & Quarters, (or Yoda) I know you use your attack coil on your Excal....however, when you did use the original stock coil...did you take the yellow cover off and rinse each time after using it...or did you take it off occasionally? (or never?) They don't seem easy to take off and wonder if it's really necessary to take it off and on. I would think that if one takes the coil cover off and on EACH and EVERY single time...it would eventually become compromised? Any experience or thoughts? :)
@TonyEisenhower8 жыл бұрын
Hey Syl.. Yep, NEL Attack. Love it. I don't use coil covers on any of my coils. IMHO the end of my shaft is no place for any extra weight. I coat them with epoxy and keep an eye on the wear. Has worked pretty good so far. I got the idea years ago from Gravedigger Max. All the best kiddo..
