Fuji has some great things - but where they fail is in my mind - the 16-55mm F2.8 lens with NO IS - what are they thinking - also the aperture rings on the faster primes is way way way to loose and easy to change accidentally - I also would like to see Playback button on right hand side - but one can re-map it to say AEL - Also the Bokeh from the 40-150mm F2.8 is sub par - not nice enough for weddings - and now seems Fuji is abandoning faster primes - only making F2.0 primes :( they need to re-work the faster once to be WR and faster focusing and more quiet -

Tony, you are the master tutor in this format. I have the XT-1 and watching this video I have learned (and practiced along with you) the majority of the functions and techniques where the two cameras are similar. I now want to use many more functions that I never fully understood before to improve my photography, inc bracketing, auto ISO, etc. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these projects. They are so helpful to us aspiring amateurs. Your presentation style is brilliant, non-patronising and expertly paced.

WAIT!!!! WAIT!!! Did I just see the absolute best training video on this camera on youtube?? Yes, If you are considering buying this system as I am, take the time to watch every second of this video. Tony has produced a totally professional video here. I will now make this channel one of my all time favorites! Clearly explained in every aspect of this system. I am a commercial shooter by trade but have been asked to travel out of the US to shoot a few weddings,so, Im considering buying this system to save space. This video convinced me to buy what I need. I WILL BUY VIA THEIR SITE TO HELP THEM OUT! Also, we never stop learning... Ive been shooting for 46 years professionally... Did I just say 46? damn Im old.. and I still try to learn something every day. Im also going to consider their books. Thanks Tony. Haven't seen Chelsea yet but I suspect she will make an appearance in other videos. Great Video! absolutely great! New subscriber and I RANG THE BELL!

Wow man!!! Great content! Have had the Xt2 for a month, love it. Your video helped reinforce some things I knew and I certainly gained a lot of new useful information. When I first saw the video was 1.5 hours, didn't think there was any chance I'd watch the entire time- but did. Very nice, thanks and did pick up a couple of your books. I'll be back for more. Also, I'm addicted to the Fujifilm system.

Fantastic help, thank you. I bought this camera some years ago, couldn’t figure out how to use it properly and ignored it - relying on my other cameras. This has helped me and I will now take the camera with me on an upcoming trip.

Quick comment: the back dial defaults to shutter speed and the front dial to aperture (or exposure compensation, or both). At 9:50 you have these reversed. The back dial is also how you do fractional stops of shutter speed, so it might be worth a note.

Thanks. T-2 arrived yesterday. Probably a lot less than what everybody paid 4 years ago. Considering using electronic shutter and keeping one lens on it to lengthen it's time on earth. And no bursts.

Your channel and videos have been a wondrous discovery to me. I am a COMPLETE noob to digital photography..after weeks of endless research reading articles and watching videos on different cameras which only served to confuse me further, I finally made the decision to take the plunge and purchase the xt2 as my first SLR type camera (no half measures for me when buying things lol!) I didn't want to start with a more mediocre option and find myself wanting more out of my camera after some time. I've just been watching your videos for the last couple of hours and now stumbled upon this one! Your videos are extremely clear and informative on the many different aspects of photography and have helped me make a start in understanding this wondrously complex art. A massive thank you from a fledgling amateur taking his first steps into the world of digital photography :)

All Fujifilm lenses do not have an aperture ring. That is also true for that pancake lense (XF27). The unmarked ring you referred to around 6:40 is the focus ring not the aperture.

Got the camera, came home and got the youtube push message which alerted me to your video, so learned it with your tutorial, perfect timing thnx for that. I noted that in the part aperture priority there is a cut where the just assigned auto shutter dial changes to the T setting. That confused me. Hello Chelsea and Tony. Thank you for the very informative. One of the best Cameras I own is a Fuji XT 2. All I have ever used my cameras for was for Landscape Photography.. The FUJI is just brilliant. I have only just started to use the VIDEO mode but I am a total novice when it comes to Video. I recently purchased a RODE Microphone, and was told that I had to Automatic Gain Control however; I cannot find the AGC feature. Are you able to guide me please?

Great video, I often come back for reference. It would be nice to have a video specifically for the video mode of the camera. Such as best settings for flat image, focusing workflows etc. It's hard to find information considering Fuji never focused on video before.

Enjoyed the video...I have had the X-T2 (with grip) since launch day...shooting the 16, 90, and 16-55mm...I have gone back and forth with back focus. As a Canon user I always used it...but find it's not back to just use joystick and shutter button on X-T2...one reason might be that he smaller form factor of the X-T2 makes the AF-L too close to shutter and the AE-L to far away from my big hands...also I love having the grip as for large hands the X-T2 just feels more secure with the grip..but your right it does add weight and makes taking a small camera bag impossible as the grip makes the camera not fit in small mirrorless bags unless you take the grip off.
