Every content you made including this one has helped me a lot with my passion. Now that Im covering events because of all the knowledge you shared, I owe it you Tony & Chelsea. I would like to thank you so thank u so much.

My path is somewhat different but I fully endorse your comment. This is, for me, far-and-away the best YT photography channel. I have thanked them on here before but I have no hesitation in again saying "Thank you, Tony and Chelsea."

I have been watching your technique tutorials for years. They have always been of more interest too me then gear videos. This is especially true now as i am retired and can no longer afford the latest and greatest. I still love learning and you guys are great teachers. Thank you so much.

To be honest, this is the first time ever, I've watched you from start to finish. A good realistic, down to earth hands-on real-world tutorial. No gear bashing, or splitting hairs between various equipment and techniques. Just true grit raw photography. I'm sure beginners and enthusiasts would like to see more of this approach rather than the glitz and glamour of just seeing the final product. I've lost count the number of times I've doubted myself over the years thinking, is this really how pro's approach a situation? At the end of the day, you know far better than me your business model, and I know it can be hard to maintain your passion and focus when your clients ( in your case your audience) push you in a different direction.

Thank you for your tireless inspiration. As always your features are informative and quite helpful as I climb beyond beginner stage, but not all of us are as adept and versed. That said, post processing punctuated with more lay detail will help and the same for the shooting. I am able to feel/follow to a point and then I lose you. Chances are that I need to up the exposure to experience and that I will do. Now, is this a bracketing enterprise for an HDR presentation. I was out early this morning in Tokyo hunting the moon and as it moves quite fast I found myself fumbling with your instruction so for the next run at this I want to be prepared and fully get the gist.

Tony, a couple of comments. First, hand holding a 840mm lens is nearly impossible without some sort of stabilizing. You had the fence, which helped out imensely (I'm sure). But rather than dragging around a tripod (ultimate stabilizer), we should consider the old fashoned monopod. Much more portable (and will give the shooter the same basic stabilization that your fence did). When you watch the photographers with the long lenses at NFL games, etc, they all use a monopod. Second, is the Photographer's Ephemerous program. If you watch the point on the horizon where the moon rises, and at the exact time, you will miss the best shot (like you got) which happens a few degrees ABOVE the horizon. Best technique is to adjust the slider in Ephenerous to "moonrise time" plus 5-6 minutes. This will show the point on the horizon where it will be a few degrees above the horizon, and help plan your best location (and hopefully avoid the last minute running). Overall, great tutorial. I like these tutorials. Hi to Chelsea . . .
