Always a good idea to plant your plants in prewatered soil. I've found that it can take a while for the soil to get evenly wet, and my plants tend not to do as well if planted in dry soil and only then watered. I guess the roots don't like it. A lot like how a bowl of cereal takes a while until it gets soggy.

I live in a cold climate. Can I grow one with a grow light?
@TonysExploration3 жыл бұрын
I doubt so, I do have grow light, which use mostly for perennial plant. I don't think it can survive using only grow light
@davidm46772 жыл бұрын
Yes you can but you need old school sodium lights with generats heat and right spectrum bulb!

Which stage start to rot? When you put on water or when you planted ?

perhaps you left Abit of the fruit on the crown that little nub contains sugar which is hospitable to bacteria and mould. cut it off so you leave only the plant, no traces of fruit when getting the roots to grow.

That acetylene thing confused me, I thought it's just ethylene. I had to check and apparently it's pineapple specific. Or at least documented primarily for pineapples.

Ahh the age old question. What came first? The pineapple or the pineapple? 🤔

You know, some tweezers would make handling those seeds and seedlings a lot easier. Just make sure to get some good ones if you want precision.

How would they grow without seeds?
@20101tom3 ай бұрын
you can plant the pineaple head straight into soil the water rooting is a waste of time u get the same result with less work and water roots are diffrent from soil root and usually die anyway in soil and then grow soil roots to replace them

😀WOW! Do Large Commercial Growers also use the Calcium/Gas trick?🤔 Would make sense for production speed.
@TonysExploration2 жыл бұрын
Definitely, they need to make sure whole farm can bear fruits at the same time , and harvest at the same time. Commercial growing use 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid pill..AKA ANAA hormones pill
