y'all probably won't see this, but here are some quick tips from someone who got a bit into the game: 1. with the simple wires, say how many wires there are, then list the colors (i.e., 6 wires; 3 red, 1 yellow, 2 black). also, don't read the instructions out loud, it costs too much time 2. simon says: don't worry about repeating the entire order, just say what the last flash was, get the answer for which to click, then move on (example: flashes 'red' 'red' 'blue' 'yellow' -- you already know what to click for the first 3 flashes since you just did it, so only tell the manual person the new color that flashes up; repeating a bunch of colors you already know what to click for wastes time. 3. for the word display game w the 6 buttons: don't waste time saying any of the words, spell everything out. (i.e., "okay, so the display says 'leed" as in l-e-e-d" vs "display says l-e-e-d") 4. the number memory game with the 4 buttons: tip for memorizing the labels and positions, memorize it in the form of double digit numbers: (i.e., first thing you clicked was first position w label 4, memorize that as 14; second round - position 3, label 2 = 32, third round - position 4, label 4 = 44; then repeat the double digit numbers in your head as you go; short term memory (from what I understand) is a limiting factor -- people can only really remember 5-7 numbers in a short timespan, so group them in some way); also, don't read the instructions out loud ("if the display is 1, press the button in the second position" vs "second position" or "press second position" 5. morse code: you only really need the first letter or two, then you can narrow down what to look for easily; you could even only ever figure out what the first and last letters are in the code; figuring out each letter wastes time; also, getting partials of the word is cool too (i.e., first letter 's', fourth letter 'a', the word must be 'steak') 6. complicated wires: just say the relevant information for each wire; if the wire is red with no star or light = "red"; if it's blue and red with a star "blue and red with star"; if it's red with the light "red with light" (light or LED, whichever y'all choose) 7. maze: y'all got a good strategy, maybe think of it as a grid though ("2nd column, fourth row" vs "2,4"); y'all count from the top left which is one way to do it; I think of it as a grid like I learned in public school where the starting point for counting out is the bottom left, so in my mind, "2,4" would be 2 over, 4 up (the x axis, y axis) 8. the code word/password: mike had the right idea, go one letter at a time for the starting letters, don't waste time listing them off since it's too much to remember and you have to repeat them anyways if the word you try doesn't work out. also, once the person looking at the bomb gives a letter, if multiple words with that letter are possible, give the person looking at the bomb all the possible words for that starting letter (i.e., bomb person says 'a' is a starting letter, just say 'try about, after, or again" and let them see if any of them work that's all I got, I never got to the needy modules lol. y'all got this, i'm glad mike is learning rows and columns
