It's time to Garden & Planting Made Easy with TYM Tractors! It is the easy way to plant the garden. Spring Gardening is here! Tanja and I tilled the garden 3 times over a two week period. It rained so much. After tilling for the first time we put down 80 pounds of 13-13-13 fertilizer and 120 pounds of Lime. We then tilled this into the soil. We broke out the old planter we built about 3 years ago. This planter will fit on small tractors and it does a pretty good job. We ended up planting a vegetable garden from seeds with one row of Okra, 4 rows of Corn, 4 rows of Green Beans, 1 row of radishes. 1 row of Potatoes,1 row of Onions and Garlic, Watermelons, Squash, and Tomotatos. Don't forget the Strawberries. This has the makings of a great garden. The TYM Tractors T264 Is a great garden tractors big enough to do just about anything you would want, but small enough to do this type work.
This will work well for the John Deere x500 attachments!

I pulled my seeder with nearly the same hitch. Never went back to garden tractor. Rigged up (with the help of a pulley) and drilled a hole in end of engage handle. Ran a small red rope and a small yellow rope and turned it on and off from drivers seat. Works great.

Love your planter adaptation. That's pretty nifty. For your potatoes, you can cut them up so that you have 2-3 sprouted eyes per chunk, let them 'dry' for 2 days, then plant them sprout side up. You can make a bag of seed potatoes go much further.

I'm no professional gardener or farmer, but the way we keep grass from sprouting is ether weed it out before we till our garden, or if its a little field we plow it, so the grass gets buried 8inches below the dirt. That way the sprouting of grass is minimal. I was wondering if you tilling the already sprouted grass would not cause you problems during the growing season.

@@TonysTractorAdventure Ok, yeah I saw you stated that but thought you modified another one. You mentioned getting the other round discs when you buy one. So was thinking you bought it and then modified it or maybe bought a kit. Thank you!

TYM Tractor offered to let us Demo their Tractors on our channel. They are a good company and a good tractor. We are excited to have a sponsor. Still like blue tractors too.

Did you get rid of your LS for the TYM?
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did git rid of the LS Tractors. My father in law has the small one. The MT240E is being sold. This TYM is a Demo tractor. I am in the market for another tractor that will do the job of both.

Any reason you don't cut your potatoes? Not much difference in yield and your seed potatoes go farther.

Why do you buy seed potatoes. You can do the same with regular store bought potatoes and cut them up. Even the seed potatoes you can cut them up to get more potatoes. They do not need eyes on them. I have planted with store bought potatoes for years and have had really good crops

Spray your garden with Roundup in late February or early March, which will eliminate a lot of Your grass problems.

I bought myself a nice spray rig for my tractor last year. I sprayed my road at the new property to keep the grass down. I am not big on using roundup on the garden, but I am not big on weeding either! 😂
