The Iron Giant: An Animated Masterpiece

Ah... I love this movie. I was thinking about it just the other day. I remember when Cartoon Network would have a marathon of this movie all day long one day in the summer. It was awesome because I would see it at least two times all the way through, but then see it a couple more times fractured because I had to go somewhere else. I always wanted to see what happened after the Giant got his parts back together.

The Iron Giant is voiced by Vin Diesel, the animation is great, the story is great, the comedy is great, the characters are great. Ah yes, excellent!

Another masterpiece, and with your name on the entire clip. No one can steal it and call it their own. The parts with the movie audio, spectacular! I nearly shed a tear remember that sad scene. This movie deserved such an honorable AMV.

I couldn't agree more. One bad movie, for example, being Twilight, and one good movie being Bolt.

There were a lot of factors that contributed to its failure. First, the film was poorly handled by WB. There were very few ads on TV, and those that DID came on were very silly and didn't sell the film well enough. Second, the film was released during the heavy summer flick season, which meant that people were more interested in the latest summer blockbuster. Finally, the film was released when hand drawn animation was losing strength at the box office, and CG was slowly taking over.

1999 was the date, actually. But yes, it did, unfortunately, flop. But it's nothing short of a masterpiece (hence the title above). :)

This did indeed have excellent animation, and the story seems like something Douglas TenNappel (my favorite American graphic novelist) would think up. It's excellent! Too bad such wonderful stories are killed by NEO-YUPPIE SCUMBAGS!!! D:< asodfijawerohserhogs (find the hidden insult in that last bunch of letters)
