“if you’re going down chromatically, you’re going through the cycle of fifths”-whoa! never thought about this consequence of tritone substitution. probably common knowledge folks with traditional jazz educations, but an awesome tidbit for those of us putting it all together ourselves :)

Love your style and approach to teaching. Also, like the attention to Christmas standards-most people I know don’t appreciate much about jazz until I play a Christmas tune. It seems like, to a lot of folks, jazz is the sound of the holidays.

Thank you, Tony! Love Christmas music, and the season is almost past. Gotta squeeze in just a few more gigs! LOL!! Would love to tour your studio someday, see your favorite toys, that kind of thing. Interesting hearing the BIAB thing again. I've not really explored that but have wondered whether it might be a worthwhile thing in low-stress gigging / brackground music that might go a bit beyond just solo piano but still let it be a solo act.
