Great job on the video, awesome scenery! Looks like a tough hike! Those days are passed me now. I’m doing easier hikes.. double knee replacements but still blessed enough to watch videos like this and others that inspire me! Thank You both! I’m going to Asheville to see their Water fall soon! I love NC and TN!

Nice job! I just watched. Wondering if I could be brave enough (I'm afraid of heights) to do this one. Looks doubtful although your run didn't look as scary as some of the other ones I've seen on youtube. Thanks for sharing!

I am pretty scared of heights and this was the single most scariest hikes I have ever completed. I honestly thought I was going to slip on the ladders and fall to my death. I froze a couple times and needed a very persuasive friend to guide me to the top. I don't know if I feel proud I completed it or dumb because of the drops off the side of the cliff..

I am too, and there were some pretty sketchy spots that had me stressing as well.

Greetings, I attempted to summit Grandfather Nov 4th, 2019. I climbed eight of the nine ladders, but was warned by a hiker coming down that the trail was iced and the wind was strong. I'm 68 and a cancer survivor; it was my hopes to summit as a celebration, but I'll need to wait for another time. Perhaps if I wasn't alone I would have attempted to go a little further. Great sights and editing, I just don’t like the music. I’m sure I’m in the minority, but when looking at nature I want peaceful music, or better yet, none at all. I just muted and still enjoyed the sights.

Music was irritatingly repetitious, yeah. Nature sounds in the area would have been better. Or at least choose pleasant music.

Thanks for the awesome video! I plan on going to Grandfather Mountain for the first time but I'm not that great of a driver and afraid of heights. If I veer off can we ACTUALLY die from the height or will the trees and boulders block us?

You have nothing to worry about. Roads are not dangerous at all.

There are different trails of varying miles. But if you take the longest trail, you better get started pretty early.

Wow! Great job! Thanks for showing this. I live a couple of hours away and now planning to go. At 0:30 there's a beautiful woman posing for a picture and she's carrying a blue, round canteen. Looks like the gentleman has one too. Can I ask what that is? I've been looking for a round canteen for a while.
