Doctor, one can stretch skin 0:18: there was an African tribe, probably still exists, that tribe fattened up brides and pounded the fat to other places, And that example doesn't explain the skin stretch, like in a piercing/plug, but I did sculpt my ex wife from the acup-DDcup. Duck lips is what 0:17 must be wanting.

I had my jaw lock open. Went to the hospital, it was really painful. The Dr, instead of treating me, decided to try forcing it shut & when he couldn't do that, he accused me of Dr*g seeking. That man started lifting my shirt, pulled my arm out so hard that he pulled me off of the bed & talked to me like I was the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen. Funny thing was, I am an addict, but was clean during that & am clean now. I had never been to that hospital before, so ik they didn't have my history. He accused me of faking & wouldn't even order an X-ray "Because you & I both know it's a waste of time because there won't be anything wrong." After, basically, assaulting me, calling me a liar & refusing treatment, he gave me discharge papers & and sent me home. I wish I would've recorded it bc it was horrible & traumatic & I wouldn't go to a Dr for a long time after that.

Yeah that’s a weird way to word it. I’ve been asked about my marital status at every health care facility I’ve been to, and for good reasons, but it’s usually “are you currently married?” Or “what’s your marital status?” Which both seem more professional than what the doctor asked ger

For big foreheads, a lot of people go off the "Golden Thirds" ratio for the face. Splitting the face into three sections, hairline to eyebrows, eyebrows to bottom of the nose, bottom of the nose to the chin. I have a big forehead, and my widows peak does not help lol, but I have that golden ratio, so even though my forehead is big on its own or in comparison to someone with a smaller forehead, my forehead is balanced with my face and to change that would harm the balance of my proportions. I saw a tiktok of this beautiful girl, who had the perfect ratio but did have a large forehead. She got the forehead reduction surgery and it completely threw everything off, she was still beautiful, but something felt off, the balance was completely ruined. You really have to take a step back and view things as a whole, rather than singling out one feature and comparing it to other peoples'.
@nk6122
@nk6122 6 ай бұрын
Exactly. Small foreheads are not automatically more beautiful. They can make people look like they're wearing a bad wig. Large foreheads were considered youthful cause all babies have them and it is one of the key facial characteristics why we find them so cute..

I worked at the Olympic Training Center in colorado springs for many years. They regularly use cupping in the sports medicine and sports science department to help with recovery. From what I understand, they don't use it necessarily because it has proven benefits, but they use pretty much anything that might help, outside of drug treatments. They are pretty limited in what they can do pharmaceutically because of the USADA oversight, so they try a huge range of techniques for recovery. Spa, hot tub, ice baths, massage, chiropractic; if it has even a slight anecdotal positive feedback, they are usually willing to try it.

Cupping does help ease muscle pain, reduces tension and improve circulation, thus faster recovery. I love it. Try it while you have a cold as well. You’ll feel so much better afterwards. I wouldn’t leave it on for as long as shown in this video though. Just a bit pink wills do. Purple or bruised like that meant you’d overdone it!

I’ve been told over and over that collagen supplements don’t work for people with connective tissue disorders like EDS. Can you please clarify this.
@katie-kb6qd
@katie-kb6qd 6 ай бұрын
I think it’s bc the collagen in your bones are a bit different than the skin. You can’t really replace collagen in your bones/joints but i think the skin can build up more? Ik the bones cannot replenish it. You also have to take a very specific type of collagen that he mentions here, bc any random collagen supplement won’t work for anything

I had terrible TMJ to the point where my jaw was locking at least once a month. Braces and bite correctment is too expensive at the moment so I got botox done about 2 months back, just on the Masseters. All the locking stopped and I haven't had a locked jaw once since then! It's unfortunate because I'm still only 20 and I can't get this too often due to the possibility of developing a tolerance or something and of course, cost, but I'd say it was totally worth it. No more clicking, locking, headaches and the strain radiating down to my neck

My kid had two rounds of braces and a few surgeries to get everything correctly set in her jaw to decrease the TMJ issues but the masseter Botox is what finally gave her relief. I think both approaches helped based on the CT of her jaw but the Botox did the most.

I've had problems with TMJ. I remember one time it was locked for hours when I was younger after I made a big yawn. And I was crying because it was like 1am and I just wanted to go to sleep. Eventually, massaging the area to relax it and trying to "click" it back into place worked. I'm glad I didn't have to go to the hospital like her, but I totally understand the panic that sets in.

I never used cupping in a recovery for sports but I’ve had it just as part of a massage and as bad as it “looks” it felt so good, it was like the muscle was lifted off the bone but in the most relaxing way lol
@KitsuyuutsuR
@KitsuyuutsuR 6 ай бұрын
I used to go to a massage therapist that did cupping on me (with the small glass ones) because I carry so much tension in my back and neck that I was constantly getting muscle spasms in my back and I couldn’t move my neck as far as I should have been able to. She never just put the cups on and left them there, she would put them on and run them across my back before leaving them in a certain area. It actually did help, along with the deep massage. The thing about menopause… I lost both my ovaries at 34 and I’m now 51. This October I’ll be 17 years post menopausal. I can’t take synthetic hormones, so I couldn’t take the replacement therapy. I’ve paid dearly for that… Despite making sure I did all I could to get as much calcium as was possible without the constipating supplements, I was diagnosed at 49 with osteoporosis among other things. On the inside, it’s like I have the body of a 70 year old woman. On the outside I’ve been fortunate. I don’t look 51, my skin isn’t thin and frail… But the rest of me is falling apart. It’s not a fair trade, but if I’m going to fall apart, at least I’ll look decent doing it, I guess…

One time I caught an elbow to the mouth grappling in bjj and both my lips swole up. I LOVED IT! 😂 I’m too much of a coward to get actual filler so I need to get back to the dojo 😂🤔

4:18 For the elderly who already *_HAVE_* very paper-thin (crêpey) skin, it should be mandatory that you not grab them by the hand or arm if you plan on helping them move or walk. It is SO easy to tear that skin that it's entirely possible to literally peel that skin *_OFF,_* down the full length of that limb, which is called 'degloving.' This requires medical intervention at either a doctor's office or hospital visit if the person in question does not have a doctor. The potential for infection is very high for the elderly and if this skin is peeled away and not reattached in a very careful and sterile procedure, usually the only other option is surgery and the prognosis for that type of care is long and involved. If your elder needs frequent help walking, ask your pharmacist or doctor for a 'gait belt.' This can be used around their ribcage/waistline and held onto at a location where the skin is not so fragile and delicate.

This jaw lock happened to my mom when she was working as a very young nurse on her own taking care of way too many patients . She yawned really wide and pop her jaw would not close! A doctor managed to put it back.

I used to be really insecure of my forehead size, I thought it was too small, because of all the baby hair growing. Then I talked to my friend with a reciding hairline and he said all he wanted was baby hair in the middle of his forehead lol. That gave me perspective and now I am glab about my baby hairs

@ yes I’m alive, but I got Covid on the cruise. I was sick for two months, got severe ear infections, went deaf, got cellulitis on my face, had to get a PICC line for daily IV antibiotics for four weeks and after 3+ months I am still partially deaf. No more cruises for me..

So I started menopause at 37, nothing worked and finished at 39. Now, 20 years later, at 57, the collagen decreases, which makes total sense, and I think I look much older now and have thought maybe sx, but I am doubtful it would really make a difference. What say you?

I went into menopause at 50 and was on HRT until 67, my choice to stop. WISH I HAD STAYED ON IT! at about six months, I noticed my arm and ab skin getting crepey. I weigh 90-92 lbs and exercise a lot. i am 76 and most people think I am in my 50s. I credit the HRT and genetics and healthy eating. I have not used sunscreen until age 62! I only use it on my face and I live in Thailand which is sunny almost daily. I want the natural vitamin D though my husband gets skin cancer but he is of British ancestry and I am from Italian ancestry so my skin is different than his. He has to use sunscreen all the time. I think everyone should use SS but take vitamin D3 supplements as D is critical to good health.
