I hope this trend of integrated storage catches on. It’s ridiculous that we are riding bikes the price of a decent used car, and the only way to store even a single spare tube is to velcro on a bag. Every bike should have a storage box.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

I assume they're massed produced given that they are almost always sold out. I'm also quite surprised but it appears a lot of people buy these kinds of bike. The most expensive I'd probably go is a Carbon TCR with Rimbrakes, I think the lower end models still come with rim brake options. Someone of my weight (51kg) will probably not benefit from disc brakes if I consider the amount of faff they add in my experience working on them. They're noisy as hell (I live somewhere fairly dusty I dunno if that's the reason). But the look has slowly grown on me to the point I've started browsing for disc brake equipped bikes.
@alastairstedman78402 жыл бұрын
@@dan_lazaro I'm an aero geek. Having wrecked my Fuji Transonic and having to "downgrade" to a less aero TCR. While I was a bit of a skeptic and only got the Transonic cause the frame was on clearance originally, I am now an aero believer. I miss my Transonic and am not much enjoying the TCR. On the flip side. I don't want disks. But I am for my next frame going disk not really because I want to, but because I fear in a few years time I'm going to be staring down the gun of parts availability. Already alot of the brands don't sell rim bikes especially near the top end. I feel wheel companies won't give us updated wheels and things. So simply due to market pressure I am caving to disks even though aero is everything and rims are more aero than disks. 😔
