My only qualm is why does everyone dump on this original mold?!? I LOVE the Legacy Animated Prime mold as is and was pleasantly surprised at how fun and intuitive the transformation is. This DNA kit only makes it more epic, and I can't wait to get this AND the Menasor repaint for Legacy United Animated Motormaster! Thanks for the review!

Yeah I don't understand the hate either. TFA legacy prowl is pretty meh, but both Bee and Prime are great. I do prefer the original toon style of course, but that doesn't make me dislike the LG versions. I think they adapted really well.

I don't get it either. The base figure by itself is hands down one of my favorite releases this year. Only thing I will say is seeing the OG and the Legacy side by side, I do wish the windshield of the cab on the Legacy was more convex like the OG version. But other than that I think it's a fun Prime figure with a different and unique enough transformation that makes it stand out from the rest

Not sure if I would be able to get the kit, but I would love to get that Legacy Animated Optimus Prime (along with Prowl and BumbleBee) one day. Fun fact: The armor was based off from the Powermaster armor from the cancelled fourth season. With Optimus Prime and Prowl now having armors, I hope BumbleBee gets an armor as well...

You're so lucky stores in your country carry these. Cheapest option I got is AliE. After tax (cursed VAT) and customs fees cost spiked to ~$85 for me :/. Sucks to live in EU :(. Great set, at least for robot mode. Got it about month ago and have on display to this day :). I wish forearm panels didn't extend beyond wrists (PotP Jazz issue) because these get in the way of articulation (posing figure while holding hammer in two hands is a bit difficult), but it's toy accurate. Aside from this, I wish figure could hold cannon in two hands (Legacy Dreadwind/Skyquake style) and visior attached more securely. Some torso extension would be nice, but that's most likely is impossible :). Beyond these (minor) flaws, set is great, for robot mode, like I said. I even got extra visior, with white "ears" and yellow "glasses". Vehicle mode is... Disappointing. I've expected it to not roll on all wheels, but the fact tool panel rubs against front wheel on right side is weird. Don't like the way feet connect - it splits apart very easily and it's dreaded "pegs of doom" (actually tabs). Ladder/cannon doesn't peg into shin panels, so it's quite impossible to solidify rear/bottom of the trailer. Bonus points for DNA for fact there's no re/dis/assembly required (I've almost lost Legacy Menasor's springs when I was replacing his thighs) and 5mm are 5mm (unlike these swords for SS Dinobots), shoulder cannons are even blast effects compatible (unfortunately jet engines aren't). I can't wait to do crazy thing and attach this set to Motormaster (seems like Amazon is finally going to ship him, judging by the fact they've charged my credit card). That will be fun :D.
