Take a step inside my mind
As my eyes are open wide
In my sleep I turn and toss
To rebuild the heart I lost
You can tell me what you want
Fooled me once and love was lost
Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams the seams have come undone.
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
Cause I don't believe a word you say
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
Take a second of your time
Realize you're wasting mine
In the night I lie awake
Why rebuild a heart that breaks
You can tell me what you want
Fooled me once and love was lost
Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams the seams have come undone
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
So spare me all your sympathy
I'm sitting, waiting on the sun to rise
I know it never will, it comes as no surprise So won't you stare into my hollow eyes They look so hungry now, it comes as no surprise
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
So spare me all your sympathy

What’s crazy is he told in interviews a different meaning for this song and we took it as was said but when he passed we learned what this song truly meant which now hits on a whole other level been looking to see others who noticed this isn’t just about denial and grief but about what Keaton was actually going through.

I wish I'd known about this band before Keaton passed away. RIP, and I send so much love to his family. Losing one child is horrific but to lose two, I genuinely hope the family find peace.

God fucking damn, this is how post hardcore is supposed to be done It felt like everything dealing with the "scene" was a little too copy+paste This is refreshing and his vocals are just as strong as were with their debut 10/10 Would get too close again

Idk, I wouldn't call this post hardcore. But then again hardcore went from being black flag and agnostic front to bands like atreyu and symphony in peril. So I guess post hardcore would change definition wise as well. Not a horrible song. But my my how Epitaph has changed in the past 15 years. It's a good thing I suppose. It's a great label that does things concentrated on the bands rather than the overall greed. And punk rock is for old people now. God, I am so old.

***** by today's standards I suppose. By a decade ago standards, I don't think it would, but hey, the scene keeps progressing I suppose.

***** Yes, I guess I'm too old, either way it's music and I respect it. If it means something to someone that's all that matters. As I am older I find myself listening to John Butler, Bad Astronaut and Frank Turner albums. I do miss the days of old going to Death by Stereo and Adamantium shows at Showcase Theatre.

My best friend has an aggressive, rare form of cancer. It was found quick and they were given time that almost no one with that cancer gets. We just found out it's the final encore. This song is the reality check. It doesn't make me upset. Just a resolve that's she knows it's close, and she's not close to finished yet

If you guys thought this was amazing, which it is, just wait till you hear 'Eiley'. Somehow it's more emotional than Nerve Endings. This album is in my top 3 AOTY contenders for a reason. I missed them at warped sadly, but you bet I'll be at their next us tour front row. This band never ceases to amaze.

I remember seeing these guys at warped tour back in 2016. They debuted “What I wish I could forget” didn’t realize the talent in this band until a few years later. Still hold fond memories of the vocalist pissing next to me at warped after their set. Thought it was pretty dope someone famous was right next to me
