Spencer is such an awesome kid, I was so impressed by how carefully he was digging through the bins, gently placing the action figures one by one. Dan and Stina are superb parents clearly. It's such a joy listening to Dan chat to Spencer about toys and his passion that mirrors Dan's. I'm loving the Saturday hunts.

Yep, I did a walk thru years ago just to see what was being sold and who was there and saw a Trapjaw classics for $35 and said I'm coming back for that and so on trip back I watched as it was bought by someone else😢, but found a bunch of other figs. Yeah it was that early on and prices were cheaper. Back when the Columbus Toy show was at Vets memorial but now it's at the state fair grounds.

Really impressed on your knowledge of all different toys especially vintage. I grew up as kid in 70's I was 7 yrs old when SW came out, so watching these videos brings back alot of wonderful memories. My lovely wife of almost 30yrs has also become a fan of going to antique stores and toy shows. I remember you saying in one of your videos that going to antique store relaxes you I totally agree with you because it does. Especially in the line of work I'm in, in one of the worse cities in this country. Again thank you Pixel Dan. Hope you are enjoying SDCC hopefully I'll make it out there one day.

That McDonald's Fisher Price set is amazing. I completely understand regretting not getting it right away. My dad has told me that my youngest uncle on his side of the family had one as a kid. I've thought before that it would be cool to have a miniature McDonald's for all my little characters to go to. Since I was born in 1992, I didn't get to experience McDonald's in the 80s, but I do have nostalgia for it in the 90s and early 2000s, especially since my grandma used to take me there a lot after she got off work, and I always looked forward to getting a new toy and playing in the Play Place. Since my grandma passed away back in 2021 and McDonald's got rid of their Play Places as well as redesigning their buildings into these bland colors, it makes me kind of want a miniature replica even more. I've thought about either collecting the Fisher Price one, the Barbie McDonald's set (especially since it has the red roof I grew up with), or a custom Lego set based on it.

Collecting Star Wars stuff does seem daunting. I remember seeing a toy bin in the 80's stacked full of Empire Strikes Back figures for only fifty cents each. At least 100 of them. Tried to convince my parents to buy some and put them in storage, but no... They didn't believe me when I said those things would be worth a fortune in the future

Dan, that was so rad that you went back for that McDonald's playset. I did something similar some years back when I found a ToysRUs mini LEGO playset that I had found at Planet Comicon, left, and man the memories rolled over me. ESPECIALLY when I passed the old TRU that was on the way home for me. I had to go back, and I got it, and for that moment, I felt like I captured a small memory of that place once again. It's one of my prized toys now. :D

WOW a wild Freefall(first and fav Joe figure), you never see him in the wild. Plus a Dodger WITH his headset mic would have love to see how much they had him for. Yeah trips to McDonalds used to be so special. Mom and dad would go stand in line and the kids would run and stare at those big displays with the happy meal toys. Still vividly remember going to McDonalds when I was 3. Time got away from mom so she packed my sister and me up and off to McDonalds. Older sister went to the Happy Meal display and I hung back with mom. Don't remember the what Happy Meal I got but I do remember the 63' bright green Corvette. Love that thing and still have it.

McDonald's was big in the 80's and early 90's. It was like a lifestyle. And I loved the commercials, especially the Mac Tonight. Do kids have love of McDonald's today like we did? McDonald's got rid of their mascots, and I don't hardly ever see any commercials. And they got rid of their playpens. The Big Mac is still my favorite fast food burger.

I once went to a comic-con in Germany and there was a NECA ED-209 that I was eyeing, and I figured I'd get it later in the day cuz it was more expensive than online in the US, but it was sold out online other than Ebay... Went back to look at it again and it was GONE! 😭 I asked the sales guy and he said he didn't have anymore. I was kicking myself all night about hesitating. The next morning I went back to the same seller to see what else he had, and he had another ED-209! (I think there was a language issue the day before since he didn't speak English and I didn't speak German) I snatched it up without hesitation! So yeah, I get the whole "will you regret it?" internal struggle. Never again! Congrats on the McDonald's!
