Great job as always Matt et al. Quick question, what do you think about the new edge stitching on the mats? I am curious to see how the look and feel. I expect they are great because Chip Theory's components always are, but want the get your thoughts.

Bret Kelso thanks Bret! I think the new edge stitching is a really nice addition. I’ve never had any issue with my first edition mats wearing or anything but this will certainly make them more durable. Overall I think it just gives the look and feel of the mats an extra notch of quality. It’s nice to see the extra band of color for that Gearloc wrapped around their playmat. I won’t be rushing out to repurchase my original mats just yet...but I do love the new ones!

I have a "strange" question for the old base game for this. Is the game easy? I recall watching your review of it and you said it was a hard game. I got the game and have played it I think 2-3 times with my friends but it has always been a breeze for us, the first time we didn't even take the easier route, yet we have more or less never had any problems. The only problem we had was a very early battle were we got like 3 ranged enemies that all targeted the same target, so one person died once. I wonder if we have missed some critical rule. I understand it's impossible to say if we have missed some rule, but what part of the game do you find hard? or is there something that might be easy to overlook that is important for the difficulty?

Zahmet Gaming hmm, good question there. So far from what I’ve seen and read, most people have found the game leans more towards the difficult side. There are certainly some things that can swing the game easier or harder at certain points but for the most part it’s required a lot of planning and a little luck to win most games for us. Usually it’s the fact that the baddies hit hard and their powers and abilities start piling up and can become overwhelming. I’m curious if you’re missing a rule somewhere too. I don’t mean that in any sort of negative way, you may just be really good at the game...but if you’re thinking the game is generally a breeze, it makes me think there’s something being missed. I don’t have the rule book handy right now but when I get a chance I can look through and see if I can remember anything we’d missed at first. In the meantime the BGG or Facebook groups would be a good place to ask the same question...lots of helpful people in there!

Yea, I hope to give the game another go soon with my friends, maybe we can try and see if there is something that seems to easy, that we might miss something. I'm not trying to brag that we beat this hard game or anything, it just feels like we are missing something when we hear it's hard but it feels kinda easy for us. Anyway, thanks, I'll try get a game in soon and maybe ask on BGG or Facebook if we still find it easy.
