All my cockatiels have Babies right now, and are good parents! Here are some of the bird with their chicks, some of them are very defensive! I still have to check them every day to be sure everything is fine in ebery nest
My trained cockatiels free fly every day it's possible, they are hand reared and trained since very young chicks.
Never try to fly outside a cockataiel or a parrot without prior intensive training, not just recall indoor.

Doesn't seem very quiet with all the babies 😂. I still have to throw out my eggs. I can't wait to see all the new chicks with their plumage. Take care! 🤗🐦💛

Have you tried replacing the eggs with fake eggs? Simply throwing out real eggs just makes the females lay more, and this is very hard on them long term.

@@motherlandbot6837 you know I thought I had a pair. My white faced would mount my other tiel then they both started laying eggs. My white faced is the overly hormonal of the 2. I tried leaving the eggs, fake eggs and removing them. I tried taking down the amount of food they get and nothing detours the egg laying x 2,

Yes, they hold it for hours in the nest and release big loads when they exit

For the "you can't have enough baby Cockatiels" commenters: Quality over quantity should be the goal of any animal or plant breeder. Most domesticated animals are now far more prolific than their wild ancestors (wild Cockatiels in Australia can reproduce successfully only if they claim and then successfully defend a natural tree cavity that MANY other species of birds also compete for. They also rear but a single brood to independence annually in the wild, but will make 2 to 4 additional attempts if they lose their eggs or nestlings to predators or nest cavity competitors (most cavity nesting birds will kill and throw out the offspring of a rival pair as they attempt to seize a nest cavity, whether that be from another or their own species). Cocktails that abandon their nest cavity because of predation must find, claim, and defend another! Most domestic Cockatiels, Budgerigars, Zebra Finches, etc will now try to breed continuously if a nest box is available. In the wild, they won't even breed during periods of drought (and often die by the thousands or millions during such events). The pet shops here in the US are filled with mass produced birds, because domestication has enabled and encourage this. Too many are poor quality specimens with genetic and behavioral problems (just like too many Dogs), and endemic diseases such as Salmonellosis, Colibacillosis, Budgerigar Fledgling disease, Ornithosis, Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease, etc, etc, etc. I'm not accusing the uploader of any of these failings, but if an animal breeder who is breeding animals as pets rather than for food production has "too many chicks", problems WILL arise! The market base of people in this era of steadily diminishing attention spans who will properly care for a Cockatiel for its' potential 15 to 25 year lifespan, while dealing with feather dust that is both potentially allergenic and physically harmful when inhaled, noise, droppings, chewing, etc is limited and probably shrinking. Please stop and think; the real world doesn't run on "squeee"!

I agree, still I think the increased breeding rate of pet parrots is mostly due to ambiental conditions, the man selection was mostly oriented towards beauty of the bird, not breed rates. Also in birds, it appears in recent studies that the most pretty subjects are often not as good with parental skills. The title was just trying to be catchy, I have not many couple, I also control the numbers by switching their eggs with plastic fake eggs if I think I'm ending up with too many birds, as you say quality comes first
