It's okay to mingle with your fellow HKers, but it's so important to be part of the local community and integrate. By doing this there's two way communication with the groups resulting in better understanding and acceptance of both cultures. Just keeping to yourselves is not going to help your new life in the UK.

u nailed it we ridicule the mainlanders for NOT speaking our lingo the way we do yet here in uk we encourage ppl NOT to integrate nor to assimilate how ironic n pathetic u guys r behaving in a way CONTRARY TO what u were advocating for in 2019 - ie expansion of ur horizon this video is a subscription to PAROCHIALISM coming here to live amongst the native english speakers is ur best chance to improve ur english which means u can read the original english texts without ANY LOSS IN TRANSLATION, ie ACQUISITION of FIRST-HAND INFO... immerse urselves in the culture of shakespeare, milton or even william blake to have a good command of the majesty n grandeur of the english language (n/or any other language/s ) is one of the greatest possessions one can have dont u dare squander this opportunity away!

Hong Kong people are a special breed of people. They can't even assimilate themselves into mainland China and demand Hong Kong to be independent. They will settle in a corner of England and fight for independence.

Agree. It's a form of respect to the local/hosts. Like the man in cap his attitude is right.
Hi Black Box Office. If you go to Suriname, a small country in South America, you will find many Cantonese-speaking people over there too. You think you can survive there with Cantonese only. You will meet people from Guangdong and Hong Kong. Can you make a video about Suriname ?😄

As a BBC growing up in a random small town far from any city in the 80's, with only a small handful of Chinese people for the entire town who's only jobs were working in their gravy and chips-serving Chinese takeaways, to now living in Manchester, the past few years has truly been wtf

I'm CBC... and often wonder what life would be like for a 2nd or 3rd generation Chinese living in the UK..... do u still feel much of racism or some form of passive discrimination?? Canada has gotten a lot better in most cities... so it really depends on certain pockets/hoods... but regardless, racism won't die... but it's up to us to stand up to assholes/rednecks
