"Too many lies in Bisi Akande's book" - Ayo Adebanjo

Ayo Adebanjo, acting leader of Afenifere, Yoruba socio-political group, has described Bisi Akande, former governor of Osun state, as a “political neophyte”.
Commenting on Tuesday during the Morning Show on ARISE News, Adebanjo added that the former Osun governor is tied to the apron strings of Tinubu.
“He (Bisi Akande) is too junior to me to be commenting on political matters. He is a political neophyte. He is tied to the apron strings of Tinubu,” he said.
“He is too junior for me to be commenting on what he said. I signed his papers to be governor. And the condition we gave for him to become governor was that of a sovereign national conference for the restructuring of the country back to federalism. That was the condition he was elected in 1999, and he reneged on that.
“They have sold out the Yoruba race to Muhammadu Buhari all because they want Tinubu to be president. That is not my business.
“But telling lies is the one I don’t know, and I don’t know how a man like Akande who claims that we all come from the root of Obafemi Awolowo can be taking pride in his participation in the government of one Buhari who they know is a disaster when all those who supported him initially are now regretting that they supported him.”

Of course Jakande brought massive developments to Lagos. This crop of politicians can never surpassed his achievements, because he was only interested to serve the people of Lagos. To be fair, all the UPN governors did serve their people in the second Republic. Then again, Awolowo was the leader of the party. What do you expect? Jakande is the best governor Lagos ever had. May his soul continue to rest in peace. Fasola tried but not to his level. Fasola brought a little bit of sanity back to Lagos. I.e. he banned Okada from the major roads, which was effective. He changed tenancy agreement law in Lagos State. He also changed the law in regards to Cab drivers. A Cab driver that want to own a car can be making his payment via installments, as so supposed to purchasing the car outright. This helped folks that are struggling financially to get into Cab business, which is a good thing in my book. I know he did more but not on this level like Jakande. We're also in a different era. All i am saying is this. Yorubas didn't start suffering today. Believe you me, the fell out didn't happen because of the interest of the Yorubas, but personal interest. Do you know this man went to see Tinubu few weeks ago when he came from London? I don't take "Afenifebi" seriously. They used to be powerful back in the days, unlike the last decade.
