I think Hubert's awesome, but one thing that bothers me about him is how inconsistent he is. Sometimes he LOVES to kill, but other times he wants to kill as few people as possible. He just can't make up his mind.

@@pilzening2810it more the role he has to play. Both him and Edelgard actively cares for the people around them and Fodlan biggest Mother in a sense. However, both him and Edelgard realise in order to compete their goal. War was the only option due to the state of Fodlan. Despite this both character wants to keep death to a minimum. Due to all of these, both characters plays a role which their support in Hopes goes other. Hubert has to be Edelgard retainer, her bodyguard, her man in the shadows and has to do the things Edelgard can’t do or won’t do like Torturing people. Which he accepts, he will play the part of looking like the evil shadow, often doing so because it makes his job much easier but also out of trickery.
