You are not alone Victor! When I start to collect a player, the base rookie card is a mandatory foundational piece to the collection. The foundation is the most important part of building anything. Keep up the good fight. Your content is needed for some balance in the hobby message.

Every man’s rookie - “I’ll take that, seems like we’re in agreement everybody gonna want one. Especially 20 years from now.” 15th most graded athlete- looks like Wemby off to a good start to being #1 at breaking another record. With the hype behind Wemby, the pedigree of Pop and the Spurs, if he stays healthy and out of trouble, we’re witnessing the infancy of one of the greatest of all time. The hobby in trouble ? Haha , look at the move GameStop is banking on - biggest trading card merchant in the country.. Long Live the TRC, Long Live the Hobby !

Kind of a double edge sword. I may like a card....however, for the last 15+ years - I will not spend more than $100 on an individual card. That's my limit and I stick hard & fast to it. There are millions of cards....I can always find something I like. Oh yea....I don't care whatever anyone else thinks about how I participate in the "hobby" I love.

Not only is demand, but the production is way out of control. That’s why the scarcity is not rare. I wish the prices would come down. Only time will tell. Keep up the great content, and hope your work load comes down.

I’ve never understood this logic. If I have a PSA 10 what do I care if the same card has been graded 10 times or 1,000 times. A PSA 10 is a PSA 10. If anything having a PSA 10 base rookie offsets the mass production problem because now your card is more scarce because it’s Gem Mint. I personally do Base in PSA 10 and parallels in PSA 9 because it’s still mint but is the same price (sometimes cheaper) than a raw card. As for long term investment that argument still doesn’t make sense in this case because if Wemby becomes the player we think he’ll be (which it looks like he’s on his way) then his prices now are the bottom and will only go up.

lol I have to laugh bro because I feel you and agree 100%…Geoff the owner of HQ I have no problem calling him out. Dude believes he’s the king of cards. He’s a PSA grading kiss up to PSA that’s why all his cards get 10s. Talks shit on SGC grading I watch a video he did one time and I called his store in Atlanta and ask to speak to him and of course he wasn’t there. Any if you leave any type of negative feedback on his video he never response to your comment. I live in SC I am about 2-3 hrs.from his store I feel like going there to talk to him about the bullshit he spreads on KZbin….Lol I hear his wife is the one with the money and got him started in the business. Again I don’t take anything he says seriously……

Yes, Hoops Haunted product does qualify for a true RC designation. However, he has two cards #108 and a Rising Star subset card #282. Card 108 gets a true RC designation in my book. Thanks for tuning in!
