I run into to much pollen this time of year myself. That is why I got as many pollen traps from Harris as I was able, I have to slow down the amount on my stronger colonies or else they get pollen bound right fast. Thanks for sharing Todd, Blessed Days...

@@dcsblessedbees hey DC! I don’t have any traps, so that keeps me from getting pollen. This time of year, I would personally be nervous about collecting it because I don’t know when it will end. Thanks for watching!

So are you supposed to feed sugar syrup when you get a pollen flow?
@lomavistabeeco2 ай бұрын
@@Whitesmokehoney not necessarily. I’m putting feed on because I’m in a dearth and it so happens that big amounts of pollen are coming in the front door at the same time. I hope they take advantage of this combination!

Todd our last pollen is running low. Putting on patties. Oddly they don't seem as interested as one would think. What has been your number one cause of hive loss this summer?
@lomavistabeeco2 ай бұрын
@@MinnesotaBeekeeper Hey Mike! The #1 cause of hive loss this summer has been the ants. The ants alone caused 14 absconds…at least that’s my opinion. The count might be even higher than that, but 14 is a solid number. I’m sure when the real pollen stops coming in the front door, they will be more receptive to the patties.
