My family and I have raced go karts, bikes, quads, and cars of course, but all Motorsports combined never gave me that feeling seeing and riding this generation of KX when it came out!! The purple lettered graphics! To this day I gota special spot in my heart for these Gen Kxs I will say the 1993 YZ 125 &250 are also legend bikes, they had white plastic and that YZ front fender had the arrow design on the front tip of the fender or from the side it came way straight then went to a curved design to match the tire but still it had purple seats, and purp, and yellow graphics from factory, idk it may have been just me but the early to mid 90s big 4 motorcross bikes all had that awesome 90s flair! Esp the old steel framed bikes like this! Miss those days of riding!!

@@RaymondGinn1978 I've owned both from the 90s still have my 91 rm250 but the rmx is really cool and not slow. Put a RM top end on it if you want, 38mm PWK, ceramic coat the entire top end & exhaust and the RMX would destroy a normal 250.

Make Sure you check the field next time, the janitor may set up piano wires. It happened to me but I was in a trail wasn't tearing up the grass. He put piano wires across the entrance to the trails, almost killed me.

Nice KX 250 before I had nerve damage in foot I can never ride bikes again but when I was younger I had 1986 KX 250 it had Aftermarket KIPS jug and cylinder head and answer roost boost strapped under the gas tank and that 250 in fourth gear if You goose it really hard will pic front tire straight up without using clutch when I gave it to My cousin the motor was already getting a little weaker but still ran good but it felt like it was due for some rings before I got rid of it but I miss those bikes. Four strokes are famous for when they get warm or hot from racing and you dump your clutch and stall it. You will be on the side of the track trying to kick start it for a half hour... 4 strokes run well in cold air.

Might have the pro circuit linkage lowering link on it, them KXs were notoriously tall in the ass end. I'm 5'9" with a fairly decent inseam I've never actually measured and I can barely tip toe mine with both feet comfortably lol.

Back in 2001 i bought a 97 rm250, im 6ft, and was using the balls of my feet to move around, front and back suspension was high man, the seat was like 3inches above my waist I paid 800 for the bike, put 2500 into the engine, suspension, sprockets and brakes, flipped the shifter to where it was 1 up rest down instead of 1 down rest up, shift so much faster that way. it became an ABSOLUTE DEMON dude 😂 i was blitzing people with their new bikes on the track like they were standing still lol everyone ended up taking turns riding and loved it so much

That bike is running perfect from the looks and sounds of it. The smell and color and amount of exhaust smoke is a good way of telling how the bike is running. The color and amount of exhaust smoke is literally perfect. I used to run at least 100 octane to get the bike running tip-top shape. 110 was the max I'd use. I imagine the bike could handle it no problem but I was just playing it safe.
