When does it slow down for our area? They migrate in October to off shore?
@offkilterfishing4 ай бұрын
@@brett7794 most of the big fish move offshore in October but I catch sheepshead and black drum inshore all year.

I live in Kinston and have fished the same places and have had some good days. Bait is the hard part. I had a Sea Pro 23 foot but sold it and now have a 16 foot John boat but it would do fine at the Port. Maybe see you on the water sometime.

Nice catch again! I would’ve been to the reef looking for bonitos but was working on fixing up the truck all day. Glad to see you get ‘em!

Planning on fishing the next three days, looks like it's not gonna be that calm so maybe we can put some in the box.

Looks like you had the gear to get it done. Mom (93) said those things look like they would pull hard. Thanks for the video

Correction, nice mud crabs. I have only ever heard the muds have white / brown claws and stones have purple. Had not heard of the rings on the legs. I stand corrected.

Yeah buddy... he knows that

I try to warn people about this as well. Mud crabs can have a blueish purple tint to the claw but stone crabs are much prettier, spotted, brighter purple and have striped legs. I carry a print out of the difference between them because I don't trust that a marine patrol officer will know the difference, honestly.
@boguefishing52112 жыл бұрын
@@alexchristopher8855 Yeah, I stand corrected, I just saw purple and didn't want anyone to get a ticket. Glad I did, I have been putting back a lot of good bait, now I know.

Any recommendations for surf fishing Motörhead this weekend? What bait? What’s chewing the best?
@offkilterfishing2 жыл бұрын
I would use fresh shrimp for virginia mullet and black drum or metal spoons for bluefish. I don’t use shrimp that I wouldn’t eat. Also look for sand fleas when the tide drops. Good luck!

Just found your channel and like it very much! Please tell me though, where do you get the sea urchins? I have never seen them a little south in Georgetown/Murrells Inlet, SC.

Check the description for the video, I would look for them at a bridge near the inlet. Good Luck

I'm visiting my dad in Beaufort this Friday and I was wondering what is the best way to get the mud crabs. Edit: and also sea urchins.
@offkilterfishing2 жыл бұрын
Mud crabs live under stuff below the high tide line, wear gloves. You can find urchins along the bridge pilings at low tide, wear gloves or use a net. Good luck on your adventures.
