I love those Waxahachee and Riff Raff albums. Haven't listened to the new st. Vincent yet but I liked the singles. Will probably get that on vinyl. Gglum is new to me. Need to check it out.

Great reviews. Been listening to the first three off and on since they came out. Absolutely love the singles off the St Vincent. Was a little surprised the whole record wasn’t in more of that rock vein. Still discovering it. Waxahatchee hasn’t fully clicked with me yet. To be honest, I sometimes find I can’t take her voice for the length of a full record. Liking Riff Raff so much more than the last one. Gglum…looking forward to checking it out.

Agreed, on St. V, though, on her best records she always has some more overt rockers, and then some different types of stuff (usually quieter). Like I said in the video, she sounds like St. Vincent again, and that's good enough for me. The HFTRR record is surpassing the Waxahatchee the more I listen. That gglum is cool, but very different than the other three.

Thanks for the breakdowns. The only album of these 4 I've heard so far is Waxahatchie. I've been following her since her 2nd album. She has a way with melody that is very unique, along with the unique timbre of her voice. Tiger's Blood is strong. Album of the year? I wouldn't put it up that high. Although, Right Back To It is in my top #5 favorite tracks of 2024, so far. So many great female artists and female fronted bands coming out with killer albums this year! In particular: Lizzy McAlpine Francis of Delirium Kacey Musgraves Rosali Good stuff!
