I suffer panic attacks - and that is what a panic attack sounds like. 48hrs is still a big deal with that kind of heat - other than sitting in a tub of water, it can be dangerous. And then the roof (been there as well), losing food, trapped - it makes sense. Kiss version sounds better, by a mile.

Glsd that I found this. I somehow came onto this site and instantly recognized your voice from the radio show (which I love). I was very bummed though to find out that I missed Die Spitz play right down the street from me. I have been wanting to see them ever since I found out about them a couple of years ago. That one totally escaped me even though I do remember when Amyl & the Sniffers were playing. My loss! Glad to hear they were good. Also I always like to hear Aimee Mann mentioned, a personal favorite. Very glad to hear that you hate Trump.

You should do a video about "Paula Peirce" in the Pandora's. I met her and the Band when they came to Butte Montana back in the 90's really cool people to hang out with. We all Partied at the "Midtown Bar and Cafe" when they came here. They where not just average drinkers wow they could drink. Paula Died, I'm not sure what from, but she was a great person. I also met Kim, and Melanie, excellent music. I have both the CD and the Tape of "Rock Hard" by the Pandora's which now is very, very, rare.

It's too bad you guys discovered or first saw Cheap Trick in the 90's. Although they were back on top due to Lap of Luxury in 1988, and then they had their self titled album in 97. But i first saw them when they were still kind of unknown in 1977 opening up for KISS on part of the Can-Am tour. Because during this time period they opened up for Queen & KISS they became huge in Japan. After the US release of Live at Budokan in 1979, they became headline stars in the States and around the world. That in my opinion was the best time to listen to Cheap Trick and to see them live. I've seen them live around 25 times and they always put on a great & fun show!!!!!! 👍🎸

That portable power station is nice Dave. Glad you are OK. Forty eight hours without power is no joke. I know how tough it gets when you lose power. Especially in the heat of the endless summers. I was bummed to hear that Steven's vocal chords are still trying to heal. I am sure that they will be back to do a few smaller shows eventually. Maybe do some intimate seating mostly unplugged. Anyways. Always good to catch up with you D~ Rob/Boston

I’m so glad you’re ok. That sounds awful. Makes me very thankful to be in a somewhat moderate climate and AC. Even around here it can get very hot sometimes and few people actually have it. Looks like you saw some fun shows though. I had always heard about Adams writing some Kiss songs. Never knew which ones. Saw him in 85 as well…first concert. Reckless is a pretty good pop record. Or maybe it’s all nostalgia.

Love the video and the listing for most of it I agree. Personally I have a different order. I think it comes down to when you got introduced to BT and a feel of nostaligia perhaps. I’m from the Netherlands and they were not popular at all back here. So you had to find your ways to get to these bands. For me the top 3 would be reflecting my high school period: 1Let me come over, 2Big red letter day and 3Sleepy eyed. All these albums have a kind of energy, an impulsiveness, a bit erratic and straightforwardness. Perhaps just like when in high school, life was easy. Smitten came out when i was studying. At the time I was a bit disappointed but it grew on me as I grew older. Although I like their later work i do think it sounds more “settled” or consolidated, like all of us ;) Thank you and Cheers!

I flew up from Texas to see the Kansas City show... my 218th time to see them since 1981. There is no way that I'll miss the last show in Charlotte. Exene has stated that although this is the final tour, there's no reason that we shouldn't expect one-off shows in SoCal. I'd also love to see them tour with Jesse Dayton on guitar again. He filled in for Billy while he was out on sick leave and the show i traveled to see in Lawrence, KS was just about the best X show I'd seen since 2000. Oh, and X has only done 4th of July once with Billy Zoom on guitar... at The Hootenanny Fest, July 5th 2002 in Mountain View, CA. I chatted with Exene afterwards and she said that it was Billy's idea and she was very proud of him for doing it but that they were also quite nervous how the fans would react. Reaction? It was a bunch of folks with dropped jaws which turned into Joker-esque shit eating grins. An absolute highlight.
