@LeoBassCovers2 - thank you, Leo! You did a great job on your cover and tab as well. It’s great to have others share their passion for Tool. Your bass sounds great even though it’s not a Wal it still has great mid range punch, crunch, and bottom end. 😊

Awesome! Great job man... such a cool song and really fun to play... 7:36 is crazy! Lol when I was learning this song,and even still now when I play it, I’m holding on for dear life until Danny’s crashes come back in! Hahaha Really great cover, you’re the only cover so far that has nailed that final “crescendo chorus” at the end of the song. It’s great to see you back banging these covers out, keep them up!

I think it's a combination of both guitar and bass doing the same thing
@TOOLbassplayer
@TOOLbassplayer 5 жыл бұрын
@ Stacey Hannon - yes- what the almightyduck...was saying. It’s a combo of the guitar and the bass doing volume swells. What makes it cool is that it is off time as they aren’t swelling at the same time which creates a pan like sound effect. The little things that tool does is what makes them special. When I first heard the track it sounded like a violin or cello. 🤓

@@cory6002 I've seen a few artists play them before. Bassist from Killing Joke, Paul McCartney, I think Geddy Lee had one too. They're made custom with exotic woods. So called "Electric wood". @KoudeZuurkool - I would also say that many times the bass and drums are off time from the guitar which required intense focus. Like anything in life, though, practice is key.

TOOLbassplayer how does, in your humble opinion, this new song compare to their old stuff? Thanks in advance if you reply. Rock on!

@Miloš Budinčević - i like it a lot. I like that they are continuing down the path of a more progressive sound. I heard there will be a lot more keyboards on this album. I also heard Maynard won’t scream anymore so it will be a departure from the old vocal style but whatever- I’m sure his vocal chords are tired from decades of singing. 😊
