@@riffgroove also agree, because it's the only genre they have to label them. Prog bands advertise and do interviews. Give out the lyrics. Prog song do build but they also rhyme. Rarely does any Tool song Rhyme

Not trying to pile on but Undertow was their first LP. OPIATE was the EP before Undertow. Dont skip on Undertow album. There is definitely some early progressive sounds they start incorporating in their music. Flood has a 4 min buildup to one of the best songs ever, in my opinion

this album has a few interlude tracks and joke tracks to break up the album, i dont mind them now but at first i skipped them. of course i have been listening to this since 1996 tho. cheers , this is a killer album
