I'm a 30+ year fan of Tool. They are Master Musicians, no one compares. I saw them in concert last February ('24) and they are as good as ever! Watch "Pneuma", Vic Firth cameras. You'll be blown away! Tool has no bad songs.

Interesting fact: a parabola has a vertex (highest or lowest point depending on graph) this song has one as well.... the total run length is 9:09 combined the line ALIVE is at the exact midpoint. I see this as representing a human life... starting at the source before birth then Parabola is birth... notice the change to the chorus in the final it is "...reminds me of my own mortality" The outro is returning to the source when the body dies.

These two tracks are such a masterclass of dynamics. I can tell you really felt this one. You really can't go wrong with anything on the Lateralus album for more of this kind of incredible sonic wizardry. If you've already heard Lateralus, then you should dip your toes into Disposition-Reflection-Triad.
