This guy is seriously the 'best in the biz' when it comes to playing and replicating Adam Jones' songs,sounds,and tones. I've been following the band he is in since the Aenima days, roughly around 01/02. I've seen them progress into what they are now 'Lateralus', and I can safely say that they are the BEST Tool cover band in the world. You are the best addition the band has ever seen bro. Of course not forgetting Dano taking over vocals for Val. Keep up the great work, and please keep making as

@thr337 This wasnt really a balls out attempt. I just wanted to see what this mix sounded like. But yea short of having 3 half stacks, 8 mics, a full analog board, a studio room, multiple guitar tracks, and a sound engineer, its pretty trick to nail this tone. I went for the more "live" sound.

Your old stink fist video from like 2007 was the shit and I miss it very much. How could u do that your biggest fan??? What was wrong with it, you didn’t like the sound? It was freaking badass

you're on the right track. it's really very hard to mimic his tone in most songs unless you can really blast shit on a full stack... that's where a lot of the depth develops... plus he uses multiple cabinets to begin with which makes it real hard to match. and there are spots where you need to switch off delay and you're leaving it on.

Please keep making as many videos as your free time allows. Can't wait to hear that Marshall/Diezel mix that your working on, live and in KZbin. So far it sounds great

Amazing how many covers don't let delay play the main riff and pick every note instead

Fukin A bro! ...just got me an 81 pukeburst from a guy that went acoustic hehe, for a steal too ( i will never dare say how much I payed for it, cause all of you would hate me), will see if I can pull off your tone...

This is so epic, been a fan since ‘06....I liked those older videos....u still have them laying around somewhere? You used to do a kick ass sound at around 1:27 that sort of hung while u went ahead and played the next part, I miss that bro

Killer tone, sounds awesome. I love the sort of fuzzy feel it has to it. Kind of like a buzzy, smooth distortion. Are you using settings that you lifted from the DunlopTv video? Or are you using your own settings?

Hey, I have been wanting to ask you what you think about Analog delay pedals? Could they work for tool songs? Everyone is telling me to get an analog delay pedal but I think the Digital Delay pedal would be better to play some Tool songs...also I am starting my own band and I think I want to incorporate a tool-ish sound in small parts of my music with the delay in mind. Any suggestions on delay? - Mike.

This is nothing, his older videos were way better, just the video quality wasn’t good enough so he took them down I guess. Now those masterpieces are gone forever.

flanger :)
@LarryMarkel10 жыл бұрын
It is? You got the tone dead on. His flanger tone always seems like a cross between chorus and flange. I've been chasing that tone and cant get it! The Tc electronic vortex isnt the best out there though. Thanks for the reply.
@opiateofthemasses10 жыл бұрын
***** no prob man. Yeah its just a boss bf-2 flange. pretty basic stuff :) check out some of my newer vids, I update my tone constantly.
@LarryMarkel10 жыл бұрын
Sounds awesome. Do you run the flange in the loop or up front. I know adams tech says everything is upfront but that wouldnt work for delay because they would distort, so im guessing somethings with adam will always remain a secret.
@opiateofthemasses10 жыл бұрын
***** Nah I run everything up front. Adam does as well. He's been doing it that way since the Opiate era when he was only using a delay and EQ pedal.
