This is my very favourite update since Marmoset 4 came out ! I'm not a user of texturing tools, but I'd like to say I really, really appreciate to see a fix you seem very silent about : improved FBX animation support. I know I've been asking for a fix for years, seeing it finally here alongside all rendering improvements is very, very welcome =) Thank you for this, and for all the hard work you put into Marmoset Toolbag, please keep surprising us with wonderful tools ♥

This is a huge update, thank you Toolbag Team! Honestly I was pretty shocked these renderpass filters like AO didn't exist previously. I saw it as a huge downside considering how important compositing is with rendering. This update gives you all that and then a lot more. Very cool!

Could you please add opportunity to enable/disable shortcut hints in the description? For example, I remember when I accidentally found out that move/rotate/scale can be switched by w/e/r (which increased my work speed a lot)

Ok so there needs to be some UI correction in the material layers window : I didn't know the masks had a sub category until I selected them. Best would be something like < Material, Mask> and then each > turns down as you click to open it.

Been hesitant to upgrade from toolbagg 3 to 4, so I apologize if this has already been answered. I don't remember many changes being done to the online viewer, does it finally support blendshape animations and audio?

Unfortunately, blendshapes and audio are not supported in Marmoset Viewer.

sooo .. still no udim support? i need a tool where i can just drop a film asset with multi uvs and therefore multi textures, and then drop the game-res version re-uv'ed with only 1 uv tile and transfer/bake maps.

Hi , I can't upload my marmoset Viewer file to Artstation. Usually when I Export Marmoset Viewer , it would export it on my pc with a marmo logo on it. Now it exports as a .tbview format and when I try to upload it on Artstation it says '' Sorry, this file format is not supported''

Can someone tell me if Marmoset Toolbag is as good as Substance painter for texturing models? I want to paint character sculpts from zbrush and then Render. I'm getting Marmoset for its rendering capabilities but I also need to be able to paint my models. If it's just as good as Substance then that will be great!

Yes, Toolbag's ray-tracing mode is path tracing.

@@MarmosetCo can you explain me this please. I used to use marmoset because of viewport. I love it. But other artist told me abouth path tracing, and told me that marmoset is not path. They told that marmoset is like eevee and arnold is like cycles, and for that reason marmoset is ultra fast

@@aaronmedina4292Hi there! Toolbag has two renderers; raster mode and ray tracing mode. When ray-tracing is off, Toolbag uses a raster or game-like renderer that is similar to Eevee. When ray-tracing is on, Toolbag uses a path tracer that is similar to Cycles and Arnold. Hope that helps!

its crazy to me that you keep adding so many cool features but completely dismiss basic quality of life ones like udim support and customizable keymapping.
