You turn off your comments on newer videos. So it looks to me like Marmoset do not want feedback from your users which is disappointing to see s I want to leave substance painter but toolbag is not good enough yet and I want to leave feedback to help show developers where toolbag needs to improve. I guess I will try 3d coat and see if the experience is better there. I hope you do better in the next version as the current version is cool but very time consuming to work with. It needs some improvements.

You can certainly work with tri-planar projection for a UV-less workflow within Texture Projects. Just make sure to change the Projection Method of layer to Tri-Planar in the Layer Settings window.

I'm so old that I still remember when making raytraced glass with proper refractions and reflections was a big deal and relatively time consuming. Things are so cool now that you can do this like nothing in real-time now. Impressive!

sooo .. still no udim support? i need a tool where i can just drop a film asset with multi uvs and therefore multi textures, and then drop the game-res version re-uv'ed with only 1 uv tile and transfer/bake maps.

Ok so there needs to be some UI correction in the material layers window : I didn't know the masks had a sub category until I selected them. Best would be something like < Material, Mask> and then each > turns down as you click to open it.

Hi , I can't upload my marmoset Viewer file to Artstation. Usually when I Export Marmoset Viewer , it would export it on my pc with a marmo logo on it. Now it exports as a .tbview format and when I try to upload it on Artstation it says '' Sorry, this file format is not supported''

Can someone tell me if Marmoset Toolbag is as good as Substance painter for texturing models? I want to paint character sculpts from zbrush and then Render. I'm getting Marmoset for its rendering capabilities but I also need to be able to paint my models. If it's just as good as Substance then that will be great!

@@aaronmedina4292Hi there! Toolbag has two renderers; raster mode and ray tracing mode. When ray-tracing is off, Toolbag uses a raster or game-like renderer that is similar to Eevee. When ray-tracing is on, Toolbag uses a path tracer that is similar to Cycles and Arnold. Hope that helps!

I'm not a user of texturing tools, but I'd like to say I really, really appreciate to see a fix you seem very silent about : improved FBX animation support. This is a huge update, thank you Toolbag Team! Honestly I was pretty shocked these renderpass filters like AO didn't exist previously. I saw it as a huge downside considering how important compositing is with rendering. This update gives you all that and then a lot more. Very cool!
