Hey, bought a Craftsman stack identical to yours back in 1984 or so. it was packed with stuff! Finally retired and moved to a house with a bigger garage a couple of years ago and bought a 52" Craftsman stack. Big difference! Love your video, really good production, and a lot of good tips!

6:45 I recently upgraded to that same set mainly for the carry case to keep my set organized. You got a great deal on it. I paid twice that for mine.

@The Wrenching Garage I just found your channel and subscribed. I have a suggestion or two for you. 1) The foam you used is available at Walmart. My last roll costs about $7.00 dollars, that was just before the Covid-19 hit. 2) In the wrench drawer-band the wrenches together. With the wrenches banded, placed them on the open end side, make them even. Now placed them on the foam and draw around the outline and cut the foam. You will Find it takes up less space than laying the wrenches flat. I hope that helps. I enjoyed watching today's video. Again thank you 👌

I did the piston soak on a Hyundai, just the regular way. But those little hose lines look really cool. And might work a tad bit better.

Ohh. And yes, it completely fixed my oil consumption issue. I never knew it was the rings. And I was burning thru 2-3 quarts every 2 weeks or every 1k miles.

Holy smokes both are really nice if you plan on selling that craftsman lmk. I wish I even had something like that. Good luck and good health.

I have a variation of that same Husky Wrench set. The missing 16mm is available for purchase right from Home Depot. Husky doesn't sell the 20mm, but I used a Crescent 20mm, which was probably made in the same factory and matches the set.

In over 30yrs of professional wrenching I can count on 1 hand how many times I've used a 20mm wrench.
@bluescoobywagonАй бұрын
@@1madmaxx80 You almost never need it for a factory metric bolt. It comes in super handy for an old 25/32" bolt (19.8mm) or my more common use, a 21mm that's rusted down a size. It's also handy for a swollen 19mm, but that's usually better served with a socket as its usually a lug nut. Although, you can buy the half size sockets for just that purpose.

Why would I take advice about organization from a guy who's prior tool box looked like a cyclone hit it? Your solution is to buy new tools and a giant tool cabinet. That's like buying a new car because the car you have needs new tires.
@hachi-rokuperformancegroup39876 ай бұрын
Well what are you supposed to do? Buy new tires?
@thewrenchinglounge6 ай бұрын
Well that's a good question. Sometimes it's nice to buy a new car and start fresh.
@louisperich66786 ай бұрын
Not really. It’s more like you finally break down and buy a minivan because you have 3 kids and are expecting a fourth, your compact coupe doesn’t cut it anymore and you’ve tried to make do with it for too long. The lesson for me as a DIYer is to not wait too long since overstuffing a too-small storage solution no matter has clever you are, inherently leads past a certain point to disorganization. You could always stop buying tools, but who wants to do that LOL!

There's nothing local about Icon tools. They are ALL made overseas in China or Taiwan if you're lucky. How about you truly support local industry and buy American.
