Toolbox Tour 2016 - 42" Kirkland Box

Was cleaning the garage so figure I'd do a quick tour of my 42" 16 drawer Kirkland Toolbox. Have had the box for about a year and half and have been very happy with its quality. It gets used every day and has been my main box to service Mercedes / Datsun cars.

thanks for the vid being from the uk these boxes aren't called kirkland but am known as sterling bliss. but when i search sterling bliss i don't find any info but was quick to find that its infact a kirkland. its helped me find that this box might be more what im looking for ive just not long sold my old mac tools box which im sad to see go but thought it was time to upgrade my mac tools box was atleast 20 years old. hoping something like this might last as long but the price was putting me off as usually buy cheap buy twice. also wondered what this box is like now as ive noticed the vids a little old wondered if the draws are staying up to par. many thanks

hey, box has been holding up beautifully. i've filled it up considerably from the day this vid was made and it has seen continuous daily use since. some of the trim has obviously taken a beating from dropping wrenches, ratchets, impact guns, etc. but every drawer has about 2-3x the weight from when the vid was taken and if i'm honest, slide better now than when the box was new. lubricated the slides with a couple dabs of silicone paste and they've been perfect, with no noise at all. box is taking a beating like a champ. so far, hasn't let me down. not quite the quality of my other boxes, but hey so far so good.

I saw this tool box the other day at Costco, how durable are the drawers? I'm thinking about getting one.

Ryan Cassidy so far so good. ive gotten quite busy with the home business so im in and out of the box everyday. hadnt had ANY problems yet and the slides are smooth. the more weight in the drawers the smoother they work. my biggest annoyance with the box are the trim strips on the drawers. anytime a heavier tool falls and hits the trim in the right spot, it dents the trim. seems like only my socket drawer ends has the dents. also the trim ends need to be somewhat compressed to have a tight fit or theyll slide around. im not sure how much weight is in the box at this point, but its holding up great, couldnt be happier with the purchase

Great vid man, noticed the one drawer, socket drawer, had a see through bottom. Are they all see through mesh, or that one drawer?

thanks! no thats actually a huge piece of acrylic that i screwed some socket rails too that i just laid over the drawer liners that came with the box. i got rid of that recently because it cracked on me and picked up some nice socket trays from lowe's. i might have to do an update vid because a lot has changed here. Thanks for watching though!!!!
