Hello sir fine post. It looks great to me, I had gotten real lazy with my tools because my shop supplies the tools, my boss is as I am getting older and he doesn't want to buy tools so now it's my turn. I bought myself a box Craftsman not to expensive and I'm filling it up with some great tools, some expensive, hope my kids appreciate the stuff I have. I'm on the track of a small tool box that was my dad's I left behind at a place I was living years ago, I hope to have it soon

I was saying on another video the other day, I don't know a single Canadian mechanic that doesn't have at least a little bit of Mastercraft in their tool box. We all have it. Start out with Mastercraft and buy more expensive stuff as you move along. I still find myself buying tools at Canadian Tire when they have those 50% or so off sales. What part of Canada are you in? Alberta here.

+A truck Named Stella At Toyota? We did all types of repairs. Maintenance, repairs, everything. As far as the boxes, they had plenty of room. If you came from a general shop or a domestic dealership and you have acquired a lot of tools you may be squeezing a lot of tools into the drawers but with the overhead storage and side locker there was plenty of space for all those cases and stuff you collect over the years.

Do you only get 1 lift per tech?? I like the clean organized shop & think it's a cool idea about the shop supplying tool boxes, but if I already have a large tool box(per say a upper lower box set like a krl1001 or 1004) & I get a job at your shop, what do I do with my box?? If I don't have/own a garage to store it in, I'm screwed & I wouldn't want to sell my box because the next dealership doesn't supply tool boxes. So I have mixed feelings on the shop supplied box. Cool vid & Thanks for sharing....I really do like your shop.

@TheSnapOnToolReview8 жыл бұрын
+Mogars88 you're welcome! I like both. Long story short, my dad is a Tech as well and he owns a lot of snapon stuff too. He had the hard handled screw drivers(that they still make BTW) and I remember them as a kid. I loved them. But the new comfort grip are just a lot more comfortable. They have improved on the rubber which means they don't expand with contact of fluid such as atf. And that's something that's huge in our trade. The hard handles are slippery when it comes to greasy hands. Like I say, I do like both but my go to is the comfort grip these days. Thanks for the question.

WURTH BIT SET. WHERE DID YOU PICK THAT UP AT ? OK THANKS
@JuanNOnly1238 жыл бұрын
Before you said it was a shared toolbox I was like daaamn he has a big ass tool box 😂 and idk if you've checked out the BAFX BT scanner but it's a quarter of the cost of the blue driver and does just as much
@TheSnapOnToolReview8 жыл бұрын
+Bobby Larkler I haven't checked it out. The BlueDriver had been an excellent scanner for me. The folks over there are awesome too. I tend to gravitate to good service sometimes.

Did your work put in place one of those organizing systems that have a place for every shop tool etc? I'm having a bit of a brain fart right now thinking of the name of the system, I think its a Japanese thing. The system basically is there to keep mechanic tools organized and shop tools always in the same labelled spot in the shop. Also the shop has to be always clean. It is supposed to increase productivity.
@TheSnapOnToolReview8 жыл бұрын
+BuzzerAuto the shop tools are all in the back on a few shelves. No real organization to it. Haha

You really use that 13x15 DBE ALL DAY working at a Toyota dealer? Never run across those sizes in my life on any Japanese vehicle.
@TheSnapOnToolReview8 жыл бұрын
+Scott Latell the 13x15 is for my truck, 12x14 All Day yes.

40 years i worked never got supplied a box never went too far in dedt but now i have 5 boxes full of tools retired now but keep busy NO IDONT LOAN OR SELL TOOLS LOL
@TheSnapOnToolReview8 жыл бұрын
+Tom Williams the idea of supplied boxes is relatively new. Only within the last 5 years I would say, companies dealerships started doing it. Usually these dealerships are getting updated or replaced with new buildings and that's when they put them in. Thanks for the comment!

Its tool envy, thats all it is. Its these pricks hating on someone who spends the big money to get the best tools,then go home and work on their yugo with harbor freight tools. I have many of the same tools. like the SO 14.4v stuff, have it all, love that stuff, i dont even use air tools anymore unless i need big power and the 18v big SO gun cant do it. SO tech angle torque wrenches, the solus ultra, vantage pro scope, all pay for themselves. Pity the haters, kill em with kindness.
