I remember back in 2006, when I was working in the oilfield, some company 'Safety' people were on the rig insisting that they needed to search my work vehicle - had one of these on the dash of my truck and they actually confiscated it saying it was against company policy - felt like I was back in High School.

Id just replace it and put them on the sun visor glove box and inside each tool box. @@scrambler350

10:15.. really good idea.. instead of a pile of fasteners trying to figure out (remember) where what went with what.. keep the nuts and bolts in order so they go back where they belong..

On really big jobs i sort the bolts into sandwich bags. Write on each bag where the bolts came from with a sharpie. Makes reassembly super easy.

16:30 I have owned the snap on, this Matco one, and the Mac air hammer. The Mac air hammer beats both the other ones out of the water. No close comparison at all!
@russellpottenger85849 ай бұрын
What I like about the Snap on is it has the best trigger control. I have an engine shop and use mine for driving false valve guides and cylinder head seats. In those applications, trigger control is critical. My .02

4:34 about the ratchets. I have all but retired my Snap On & Matco ratchets in favor of the 90 Tooth GearWrench. I can’t explain it, but they just feel & work better. The Matco 88’s being a close second.

How many of the technicians have ASE certs? Are they important in the field?
@Tonytewsteez9 ай бұрын
They don’t hold as much weight in diesel as they do in automotive. Some places will pay you more for having them tho so they’re good for that. Manufacturer certs are really what employers want to see nowadays (Cummins, Allison, Paccar, etc.)
@codykobza17149 ай бұрын
You get paid more for having them. But in the hd industry they worry more about manufacturers certs than anything. Ase just means you can take a test.
@chiefyoung9 ай бұрын
@@TonytewsteezThank you. That makes sense. I’m in the Army and did the ASE tests they made for MIL equip. We have civilians that assist with more specific maintenance processes and they have to have the Medium/Heavy Certs.

I have been saying for years, Sunnex is Snapon quality with 1/3 the price. I will stand by that saying too. Any technician entering the industry would be served well looking into Sunnex first.
