Does that blue tape work good? I have used clear packing tape & shelf paper. The packing tape is hard to get off sometimes.
@AttackLineLeather5 жыл бұрын
I find the painters tape works best. The packing tape does leave residues

Old LEATHER SMITH here, if I may, a few suggestions, put a few drops of liquid dish soap in the water, it will absorb faster and your swivel knife will cut easier, I believe a hair blade will work better in your cross hatches, nice project, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Thanks for listening, for the stamping tool which model it could say, because there are many to give this contour effect.

How do you go about wetting your leather for tooling?
@AttackLineLeather4 жыл бұрын
I just use a spray bottle with water in it. Its has a steady mist and you can find them at tandy leather or hobby lobby

@@AttackLineLeather I appreciate the replies. It's my first deep dive into leather work on youtube. With as much artsy stuff I watch on KZbin, I'm surprised I haven't ran into it years ago. I'm fascinated.

Why do you tape the back side of the leather?
@AttackLineLeather5 жыл бұрын
It's so the leather doesnt stretch while you tool, and it helps with leaving a better stamp indention.
