Thanks for the video, bud. I think KZbin is a game-changing tool for guys starting off in trades. What I woulda gave 35 years ago to figure out stuff that took years in the field to learn. Hey, maybe with the bigger stuff, with this size welder, you might get lucky if you get some heat on your path first. 1 more tip, and just for a bit... It's good if you get into the habit of making sure there's ZERO rust on the stuff you're welding. Nothing crazy, but I've always got a couple grinders kick'n around; each with dedicated wheels:1 grinding, 1 zip-disc, I steel wire buffing wheel. Keep it up.

Well the nice thing is this welder is a multi volt machine so you have the option of 110v or 220v. Great choice for a hobbyist looking to weld on a budget. Good luck and be safe.

Ah yes the age old debate of push vs. pull 😂😂 If you are just starting out with welding I would just focus on getting familiar with the machine, pushing buttons, turning knobs, learning amperage, wire speed, sort of the basic fundamentals, definitely a lot of knowledge out there regarding welding... As far as push vs. pull each method has it's time and place and with time you will figure it out....Practice Practice Practice and with time you will learn 👍👍... What do they say... I have had my tl 200 for about a year now. It's a synergic welder. It does most of the thinking for you. I think it ranks high with the yeswelder

Most of the new equipment regardless of brand now has synergic mode which like you said does most of the thinking but it is nice to have the option of manual mode as well.

HA! Now, the welding is all great; think I'll pull the trigger on the 200 model as I've been debating almost a year fir the house. I do have a millermatic, and a deltaweld at the shop but I've wanted a small 115 for little home projects quite some time. I appreciate the video; very nicely put together. The " Ha!" Was because I just noticed the 58 in the background. I will eventually get myself an Apache but currently also working on a 58 myself! My grandfather's Delray which now has a full bel air interior, (some impala admittedly) and finally finished my floors borrowing my father's Eastwood MP12Vi? Can't recall the exact model but I love it. Think ut was around 800 and uts wonderful but too big, and I want a no gas option for portability. Had a titanium arc that was garbage, had an old Lincoln buzzbox I loved but took so many repairs over the years I retired it.again, thanks for the video, and I wanna see more of that 58!

Ah yes the 59 Viking...😔 A project that turned into something way bigger then I expected... There are a few videos deep within my KZbin Channel showing the start of the project and then eventually it has stalled due to many other life things. I just acquired a 2TL 200 M welder and enjoy your presentations. I have one question though you referred to the voltage adjustment on the left as the inductance knob and I believe the inductance is changed by pushing the right button to the inductance setting and then adjusting the inductance with the right rotary knob. Am I correct? Thanks again for your presentations.

Good video. Budget Machines or consumer tools are really bad at duty cycle. You have to let them rest cool down (longer) between uses|duty. Sometimes I had a whoop a55 fan to help cool them down to help with the duty cycle.

Have you tried Lift TIG on this machine yet? I just ordered mine today. Looking forward to trying some tig welding with it. I'll be running 220V. The reviews on this little budget welder have been great! Need to pick up some Solid Wire for Mig. Did you go with 0.030 or 35 for you gas shielded mug wire? Also need to pick up a regulator and tig whip as well.

I have not tried the lift arc process. After learning lift arc tig on my lincoln 210mp and then using the ArcCaptain TIG200 high frequency start there is no going back to lift arc. If you are looking to learn TIg I definitely can recommend the ArcCaptain TIG200 DC machine its very budget friendly, otherwise the Tooliom welder in the MIG process has been a great machine. 220v is the only way to go when it comes to welding also👍. As far as wire I would just buy a spool of both .030 and .035, I generally use .030 unless I plan to weld heavier metal. Good luck with the welder, be safe and happy welding. @@ChallengeTheBuild I've been welding for over 30 years and a Tool & Die Maker for 25 years now! Yes HF TIG welding definitely is handy and makes for a smooth start. But I'm used to scratch, Lift and HF... So any is good! Was just curious of the performance of the Tooliom machine doing TIG. All the reviews I've seen have just been MIG - Flux Core and Gas Shielded Solid, and the. ARC stick welding with it! I just ordered a TIG Torch for it as well... And a separate Argon only Tank.... The 2 Tanks cost more than Welder and the extra items combined... Thank you for your review, it's what helped me decided to give the Tooliom a go! Very impressed of the performance of the Mig in your videos!

Mine is cutting off when striking a mig arc now. Used about 5 times. Any help on troubleshooting? Tooliom basically said out of warranty so no help. Machine is basically brand new.

Strike an arc and machine shuts off meaning trips the breaker? Completely shuts off? Or more of a short out... I would say unplug machine, unhook all components including mig torch and the check all the connections then re-connect everything then plug the machine in and try again, also make sure you have a good clean ground. Also these machines need to be directly plugged into the wall outlet when using 110v, if you have it plugged into an extension cord you will GREATLY reduce the functionality of the machine. 220 volt not so much... Good luck...👍

Was debating picking up this welder or spending a bit more on the Titanium Unlimited 140. Was wondering if the quality on the Unlimited was worth the extra money but I do like that the Tooliom is dual voltage and also is lift tig instead of scratch start although I don’t plan to do any tig anytime soon. Mostly flux core and stick for now. Was wondering if anyone has experience with both of these welders

My buddy picked up an Unlimited 140 for his son and it is a nice welder. I think the build quality of the Titanium is a little better but when it comes to welding I personally think the welders are comparable. I will say welding with 220v is the way to go for the long-term.

I don't use it very often, so when it comes to long-term durability I can't really speak on that, I can say everytime I use it I am surprised because of what I paid for it. It is a very simple machine with not alot of dials and buttons to push... The feedback in my comments section on this video and the other video I put out on this welder tells me that it's a solid buy.👍 Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Normally with the cheaper brands that’s the first thing to malfunction. Just checked my local FB marketplace and found a Lincoln power mig 140 mp listed for $300 and now instead of the Titanium or Tooliom I might just pick that up for that price even though it’s 120v only and 140 amps

So here's my opinion on buy the used Lincoln. I personally think ypu run a higher risk of faulty electronics with the used machine, plus now you are limited to 110v. With a new budget machine you get the added benefit of having 220v capabilities plus a warranty on the new welder even if its only one year🤷‍♂️(guessing). Keep in mind if you buy it off Amazon and don't like it you could probably return it.. Buying used you are out the 300 bucks...

Thanks for the video. I am learning and have a question for you (or any of your viewers). The pre-programmed settings for this welder is .030 (solid wire) and .035 (flux-cored wire). I already have a ton of .023 solid wire that I would like to use and this machine doesn’t show .023 as an option. Do you know if I can select the pre-programmed setting for .030 and use my .023 solid wire or I simply can’t use .023 wire with this machine?

I would say yes absolutely. As long as you have the drive rollers adjusted properly it will be fine. The wire diameter pre-sets are just to help the machine set initial parameters, don't forget you as the welder have the control to adjust (fine tune) speed and voltage in manual mode. So there are only two rollers supplied with this welder, 0.8/0.9 (.030/.035). One roller looks relatively smooth (solid wire roller) verse the other is knurled, I believe you want to use the knurled roller for flux core wire. If you are using .035 flux core wire make sure the .09 is facing inwards when installing the drive roller, then adjust tension accordingly. Same goes for all other wire and drive riller applications. That's what did not make sense to me, the book says if using.030 to have the 8 mm facing outward and if using 035 have the 9 facing outward. It says whatever wire size you are using to have that number facing outward.

I just installed a 240v/50A outlet and my welds don't look as nice as yours. I'm using fluxcore 0.35" -- should I try the smaller 0.30" ?

With welding there are multiple variables that all need to come together for a good weld. Once you get the machine set to a basic starting point you're still going to have to make fine adjustments. Make one fine adjustment at a time until you get it dialed in, wire speed and voltage both play an equal roll along with material prep and how fast you are moving the torch... Like I said lots if variables that again just take practice. Lots of knowledge out there to be consumed also look up WeldingTipsAndTricks Flux core for beginners videos maybe that will help... Good luck, be safe and don't give up .. Practice 👍

The Tooliom TL200M is a single phase machine, designated by the U1=110v / U1=220v. I generally weld 220v on a 30amp breaker which is all single phase.. Hope this helps..

Either will work for 110v however you will have a little better welding performance from the 20a breaker and try your best to make it a dedicated 20a line with proper gauge wire. Good luck and be safe..🤙

I don't generally weld with flux core wire (basically never) but I have been getting a few comments about welding on 110v with flux core wire which would probably show my lack of experience with it. That bouncing sound tells that your spool tension is too tight or the spool spindle needs lubricate (paste wax works well). Listen to your welder/welds it tells loads about your set up !

Yes you are correct... I had the wrong roller set-up in the machine. Once I changed it out to the correct knurl it was a lot smoother. Machine setup is key..👍👍 Appreciate you adding to the conversation...👊💯

😂😂 Keep in mind I have been welding for 20 plus years, lots of practice and I still am not as good a welder as I'd like to be. With that said, I went with .030 on 110v because it's thinner wire which in my thinking would take a little less energy (amps) to transfer the heat needed for the thinner materials. I generally use .035 for 3/16 and above material. This is where I say practice practice practice, there are multiple variables in welding that all need to come together for that "perfect" weld. You can do it just be persistent, patient and practice. 👍

Start at the beginning. Read through the manual (troubleshooting section), re-check all connections, make sure you have proper continuity for flux core, make sure you have the piece you are welding grounded, check fuses, make sure you have the correct process selected (mig/tig/stick). These are just a few things to check, good luck 👍.
