I ordered a 10 pack of cat7 shielded field connectors and a 250' roll of cat8 cable and sat down after watching this video a couple of times. They look exactly like and, go together the same way. I made 5 cables varying in length to upgrade from cat5 cables that were cheap and poorly manufactured. My new spool of network cable was manufactured in Taiwan! Thanks for the assembly video, it was a great way to see how they go together since there were no instructions or any info of any kind!

Very good professional video 🖥 The comfort of using this toolless RJ45 is by a factor of 1.000 over crimping.

Why didn't the G light come on?

It's ground and meant to turn on if you have a shielded cable (stp)

You make wrong connection, missing connect GND for two ends, the tester showed it.
@ShenzhenAngnetTechnologyCoLtd2 жыл бұрын
the white connector was UTP connector,so the tester did't show the GND signal. Thanks your comment.

is this type of connecton just as good as a standard one that is crimped ?
@cenchloraadums31432 жыл бұрын
No, it's not. It doesn't make a solid connection. You'll experience connectivity issues later.

How to destroy some scissors by cutting wires ;-)
@mickclarke20882 жыл бұрын
These wires are so thin there not going do damage scissors unless there the cheap ones you get for around 50p
@disdonc60122 жыл бұрын
@@mickclarke2088 I think it's not the thickness but the material. Cutting metal with scissors which are made for cutting paper or only fabric will always leave small traces. If you do this once or twice there might not be any noticeable effect, that's true, but it's still a degradation over time.

@@disdonc6012 Doesn't matter, you can always buy a new pair of cheap scissors. But using a dedicated wire cutting tool is the professional method.

The most common Ethernet cable type is copper coated aluminium. It shears at the soft inner core and cuts with very little force. Better and less common is pure copper Ethernet cable, which is harder to cut, but even copper vs. steel of the scissors (typically plain stainless), steel wins easily due to a lot more hardness, no substantial damage to scissors. You'd have to go through thousands of these wires before you find any wear on the scissors. And yes thickness makes a difference, upon it depends the force with which the conductor pushes back on the blade. For example flush cutter for fine electronics use made from surgical stainless is rated to 1mm thick mild steel (not hardened) or 1.6mm thick copper, because copper is that much more pliable and easier to cut, and it would cut thicker aluminium yet. Obviously you don't cut hardened steel or stainless steel with this tool, since the tool doesn't have enough extra hardness above the material you're cutting and will likely take some damage at any thickness, you'd need to get extra hard tool steel version of the tool instead.

@@cenchloraadums3143 I don't want cheap throw-away scissors for cutting fabric. Even when new they are shit.
