I only used hand tools when building my greenland paddle, I used a pull saw and a scrub plane, it's a real workout but working with a scrub plane is really satisfying! You can also make a scrub plane out of any old plane by just rounding the blade, that worked well for me!

Hi Brian, and thank you for the very informative video. I find very difficult to interpret the "minimum required power" criteria for the table-saw when buying one: the dollar value indication is only relevant to the US market and not applicable abroad with possibly different power-tool market context... Could you provide some figures on the minimum electrical power (eg. in Watts) to consider when buying such equipment ? Thanks a lot !

@@aymericbrunot2604 I would say as a minimum requirement you are looking for a continuous watt rating that is around 1800 watts. This is the maximum wattage that a standard US household circuit can use. Obviously more is better, but it requires a higher rated circuit.
