Just the ratchets I use at work. Mostly Snap On, but some Japanese tool brands in there.

KTC, Kyoto Tool Company. Is one of the oldest and the "go to brand" in Japan. Nepros is a fancy off shoot of KTC. Much like Toyota and Lexus. KTC gets the work done, Nepros looks pretty.

I'm not sold on the comfort grip handles either. When I picked up a Snap On long handled flex head with the comfort grip it felt like a sponge in my hand. I prefer the hard plastic handles for most work. The plain chrome for tight spaces. I wish more tools companies had plastic handle options.

I have a few Ko-ken ratchets in 3/8" and 1/4" - super-smooth action, they feel great to use, but yes, like you I get a little annoyed about the direction switch pointing the 'wrong' way, or at least the opposite way to most of my other ratchets. I have some Britool Hallmark ratchets with the same problem.

Cool, There are two 3/8 drive ratchets in the GW 120XP 4 piece set (Taiwan). A long handle and a stubby. I have the long 3/8 and it just saved me on an alternator replacement in a very confined space. I should have bought the whole set.

That Koken ratchet when you spun it sounded like it was the old 36 tooth version. The newer ones have less backdrag and are 72 tooth. They sound like you’re winding a Bulova watch.

It’s definitely a 36 tooth one, but I’m honestly still pretty impressed with it

I prefer the flex head without the notches usually, but sometimes they come in handy for staying at weird angles. I wanted the snap on 3/8 in a 1/4" body for a long time and finally bought it recently. It has a great feel and I use it every chance I get
