If you are oriented towards coding then vim and there successors are not just a basic tools or notepad, you have to totally shift your mindset accordingly to use this things efficiently, and fresher really should not get into this and waste time in tweaking little things, its definitely overkill!

the problem with these kind of influencers are that they are very young and yet to experience life themselves, but would give life advice. similarly, this guy may be a really bright guy but he's basically telling you " to do whatever I did to become like me"..

Knowing linux, git and docker helps a lot. But saying that using vim with tmux makes u a pro coder is a bit of stretch. An ice like vscode provides much more features, as an AI engineer It does all the task efficiently and I don't have to put hours learning shortcuts.

Frequently moving your hands back and forth between mouse and keyboard is really frustrating. Having many workspaces which you can switch with your own key mappings quickly is deal breaker. Tiling window manager or tmux with vim just doesn't provide u speed but also remove the sense of frustration you get while coding. I have been using i3 window manager with nvim, at beginning it might feel unintuitive to learn such technologies but when u come out of your comfort zone, you really will observe it's advantage later. Nvim has the biggest community support of all editors with more plugin support than VScode.

In linux these are more easy like everything with hotkeys but in windows these are much of a hassle so i prefer these when i boot into linux otherwise just vs code when booted into windows . I already use most of the things except that chromium extension which is really nice . definately try that
@shrenikr2357 ай бұрын
Honestly IMO the learning curve for these in practice proves to be more of a hassle and a waste of time. It's time you could've spent actually building something with popular tools/code editors. But, to each his own I guess.
