I've been hand finishing for 36 to 37 years and paper tape is the best tape to use when your taping. Ive used everything else and i get best results out of paper tape and yes im a pro. I habd finish a 100 plus boards a say by myself. No help but my hands.

We actually don't use standard paper tape. We typically will use a reinforced tape or a high strength mesh on joints. This makes the banjos and bazookas hard to use. I wish they would come out with one that could be used with reinforced tapes... I just don't know of any yet.
