This is amazing. I would so have gone for this. A few months ago, I had to pack up my studio and temporarily move back in with my parents. I put my office chair in storage and only brought a wooden bar stool (for its height) with me because it fitted my makeshift desk, a wooden workbench on wheels. Sitting day in and day out with no backrest somehow strengthened my spine, and now it feels so normal I would never go back to sitting on an office chair again. Super cool project though 🤩

bro i laughed so hard. this is awesome. This is exactly something i was looking for. The mesh on the bottom of the chair to reduce the heat in the summer. The arm rests to relieve tension when typing. The different positions you can bend your feet in. And the desk ofcourse. Some fair points that you stated for the arm rests, they might be a bit too short. Ideally i want to use a Keychron Q11 split keyboard in front of the laptop. This is almost perfect !! So i should make the desk a bit better i guess. I love it, thanks for sharing bro ! This really made my day.

What’s the dimensions of the desk? Or perhaps of the original door
@ToolsElectroDIY6 ай бұрын
34" x 13.5" -- but it doesn't matter, you can cut it to any size you want, as long as it is stable.

Great video. what's the width of the mount below desk which you can place it on the arms of chairs?
@ToolsElectroDIY5 ай бұрын
The width does not matter. Don't measure, just fit them and put on screws. And you can adjust the tightness / friction easily, which is very hard to do by measuring.

look like a desk for the disable. Really, if you are not disable or too weak, you do not need recliner. But for those who do, this is just the thing they need to keep working.

As much as i love the idea, i think you didn't look at the worst designed tool that we use everyday: the keyboard. There are many new ergonomic keyboard designs. It's kinda hard to get into split keyboards, choosing how many keys you need, finding a way to learn the layout, but man it's worth it. You should look into it.
@ToolsElectroDIY3 ай бұрын
Yes I have tons of ergo keyboards and mouses from ProtoArc. I may do a review soon. Stay tuned.
