Looks quite nice but not the sort of thing I have much use for, on the few occasions I need a scope it is likely to be in the 160-170MHz range and I can borrow a 200MHz scope for that. If it ever becomes difficult to find probes with MCX connectors or you have preferred probes with BNC connectors then adapters are readily available.

Incredibly I woke up 9am Saturday morning (Aussie time) thinking that I need an oscilloscope, made a coffee and jumped straight onto your channel to see if you had any videos. Sure enough you made this one while I was sleeping. I am delving into Audio Amplifier repair. My Question: Would this dual channel unit allow me to run the signal generator into 2 audio channels and compare stereo outputs with one another?

Yeah it should be quite able to do that if you want to trace signals.

I don't believe so. Very few of these do. If you're interested in a computer outputting scope, look at the USB based scopes :)

You are welcome to your opinion of course but personally I think it is rather unfair to call this junk. It isnt' suitable for every scenario but it is an inexpensive hand held battery powered dual channel scope with a clear display, a nice User Interface and capable of helping you repair a lot of items such as SMPS, motherboard, GPU and a lot of audio faults. I would be quite happy to have it in my tool box to be honest. Yeah sure there are better specced oscilloscopes out there especially if you want or need to spend a considerable amount of money to get those features. This scope is not a thoroughbred but I stand by the fact it is a useful work horse. At the very least can we call it useful junk?

(LOL) why don’t you design and build the , to you, the perfect scope and demo your scope on video showing the necessary changes needed done to make a scope that would fill so many other test that this scope you just demonstrated want do? Please give it a try. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with me.
