I've reflected a lot on this, and I think I just needed to go skirms. I know that Celts miss bracer, but even so, they should beat Bohemian hand cannons. Lesson learned from this is: skirms are *always* a hard counter to hand cannons. I tried it even with Franks, Burmese, and Turks, who have the worst skirms in the game, and still they trade really well against hand cannons In other words, I only blame myself

@@coxandrewjI played against the Byz as Bohemians and got steamrolled by skirmishers when I went full on gunpowder units. Didn’t help that the opponent micro’d well against my mangoes… didn’t help that they also went rams… it helped that I got murderholes… in your case, you walled off earlier and better than you usually do! That siege exchange around the midway mark was epic! Nice micro on both your parts

@@risendragongames Byzantines - Bohemians is one of the most interesting civ matchups in the game. What you can do is add redemption monks to deal with the enemy mangonels so you can keep your wagons alive. But even so, both civs have a lot of tools to deal with what the other civ has. Very fun in my opinion
