Thank you for the explanations of what part of shaders do! I wish more tutorials would do that. Most people just take a "Because I said so" approach to teaching... Earned ya a follow!

heyy great vid man, a question tho, how can i use a texture with transparency with this, as there is no alpha in this
@zerofxharry2 ай бұрын
After Shader to RGB node, Use a "mix shader" node and blend "Shader to RGB" node with a "Transparent BSDF" node using the Image Alpha as Factor

How would you do this for something that isn't nearly-monochromatic like an apple? Like what if you were trying to apply this to a character face and that character is wearing multiple colors of makeup?
@zerofxharry6 ай бұрын
As long as the hues have different luminance values, we can still use this technique.. We just need to create multiple markers in the ColorRamp node.. But the best workflow would be to Use Photoshop/After Effects/ or a mobile application and use a cartoon filter on the Image texture and use that image as the diffuse/Albedo map for your 3d model

Please make a tutorial on making cartoon shader in blender with daz3d model with realistic design nose don't use anime model with texture or with out texture depending on you
@LDK476 ай бұрын
Finding toon shading tutorials that give you an actual nose outline from all sides and don't leave you with a disappearing anime nose when viewed from the front is the holy grail

@deepuvinil45656 ай бұрын
Hi, any way to export this as diffuse, normal so that i can get the same effect in unreal or unity?
@zerofxharry6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no. Inorder to Bake Maps we need Cycles and this method only works for Eevee.. Also, Toon shading depends on Lighting.. So, if you want this effect in Unity/Unreal, it's better to create a material shader there(inside UE5/Unity) instead of using Baked Maps from Blender.. That way things will work as expected

It's not working under sun light, bro.Why? 😢
@zerofxharry6 ай бұрын
1) Make sure you are using Eevee Renderer 2) Under the Sunlight settings, make sure cast shadow is turned on 3) Finally, you can preview the changes only in the Render mode and not in shading mode..
