Years ago next to Bambi's cleaners,was the employment officer,then came Methodist Hospital.And for those that remember,further down was St.Agnes Hospital,where they had a burn unit.

It was right there at Broad and Snyder when I seen president Carter ride by in his motorcade back in 79' I guess.And on the corner of broad and Passyunk was Bell Tel,where you'd go to pay your phone bill.

At 6:49.Johnny Chang's is Chinese.Johnny Chang is a short,nickname for Ciangalini,two brothers were caught up in the street war between two factions,one under Joey Merlino,the other was with John Stanfa.Their father was a heavy hitter under the old regime of Angelo Bruno who was killed straight towards where you're going down Broad Street,a block or so from my old high school,South Philly High on Snyder avenue.Yo',this is my part of Philly.I'll fill you in-

IIRC the special street sign you saw at Alter were introduced around 1995 when Broad Street in that area got designated Avenue of the Arts. I believe all the street signs along that stretch of Broad got the same treatment. When the signs wore out over the subsequent 2 decades they replaced them with the more standard variety of signs found across the city. Correct me if I'm wrong.
