I enjoyed the tour. My daughter rented in Pt Breeze, Norris Square, and NW Philly but bought in Pt Breeze. The folks there are the most friendly in the city, and that is why she bought there.

The 25th street bridge is dangerous and has been for years. The city is suing CSX for not fixing it. I try to avoid driving under there as much as possible. Keep up the good work & travel safe👍🙂

Forgot to mention that PA has Real Estate Tax rebate and freeze programs. I hope the folks know about them. The freeze program is available to homeowners with incomes as much as $65K per year. The rebate program is available for senior renters and property owners, and the cutoff is considerably lower. It seems that Philly has its own tax adjustment programs for seniors with different cutoffs.

Truthfully South Philly has always had really bad pot holes...lived at 16th and Latona most my life...The real deal is there a lots of little streams under the streets! I kid you not!!! Most parts of South Philly was built overtop of water(and other things). There is a history of flooded basements mostly houses closer to broad street and on the eastside. One summer I swore I heard rushing water in the middle of the night! So one night I'm coming home at night and per usual yet another pot hole has started on the end of the block and I walk by it and not only has it become larger but I hear the rushing water!!! Check the history...! South Philly the worst for pot holes and after the snow season...all summer the streets dept was always around fixing streets! That salt mixture ate up the streets and cars parking on the curb broke up the pavements! Facts!💯 I miss Earl's on Opal Street! Lines e'erday!!! Serious hoagies! 🙌🏽I know they gone!❣👍🏼

North Broad???? You are definitely not from South Philly! Here's the history on Pt. Breeze. Point Breeze was once booming with Black Owned Business! Clothing stores, shoe stores, grocery stores and the like. You have destroyed the pronunciation of the blocks. Your blocks are, Washington Ave, Ellsworth, Federal, Wharton, Reed, Dickenson, Tasker, Morris, Moore, McKean, Mifflin and Snyder Ave. From 22nd to 25th.... THA'TS POINT BREEZE!
@ericturner79063 жыл бұрын
Absolutely correct! Especially, Wilder Street. Also, in the early days on the corner of almost every other block was a corner Store.
