Toontown: The Documentary

Ever wonder about the birth of Toontown Rewritten and some of the stuff that goes into the game behind the scenes? In this 36 minute documentary that the Toontown Rewritten team featured at the OMG!con 2016 Toontown Rewritten booth, we talk about some of the struggles, events, as well as talk about the community of the game.
This video originally started off as my video final in college. But turned into something much more. This video took about 6 months to create with a lot of procrastination! I hope you all enjoy!

there are only 2 things that need to be fixed about Toontown Rewritten. 1: There is a serious crashing problem that seems to be most prevalent when transiting between one are of Toontown to another, whether it being through tunnels, doors, or the toonwarp. 2: The doors. Doors on the different buildings, aside from the "Knock Knock" doors and ToonHQ, only appear once you get really close. Otherwise, they are just big black holes.

Jake Smith Yes but it was built from the ground up to be near identical to the original game with, to my knowledge, limited guidelines from their experience of the game. Hence the name... REWRITTEN. Plus they’ve added much more self-developed content.

You also say you have been playing tt for 3 years, i've been playing it ever since 2001 when the original Disney Toon Town was released. It wasn't released in 2001, it was released in 2003 and development was started in 1998. (And all the places were there except the cog headquarters.)

The TTR management pays for the servers from their own pocket. I don't see the fees being a problem with the several volunteers that help pay for it, especially when they don't request for any forms of donations.

Ethan Melton I tried it and its doesn't really matter..? The game isn't much of a mmorpg, the combat isn't at all the focus of the game and neither is roleplaying.. its more of a hangout type of game.

Public files? You mean leaked files. They weren't made public at the time of there release. So no, not exactly. And since when does adding your own unique content to a dead game, become "recreating it entirely." This game will die if there's just cosmetics and aesthetics. 0 progression. Develop more to the game, don't just modify it so slightly.
